This is probably the worst place you could choose to eat at. First of all, if you eat here, you might get sick. My daughter and I ate here a week ago and we both developed stomach cramps and diarrhea a few hours after eating. We are STILL having digestive issues a week later and tomorrow I'll be calling the doctor. I've already called the health department and filed reports.
Out of fairness, I made a list of everything we ate, and the interesting thing is that I had a procedure at the hospital only 2 days earlier that required me to fast for two days, and also to clean out my system. After that procedure, the only thing that we ate that was common was General Tsao's Chicken and Rice from the Rice Kitchen (which we shared from the same containers), egg rolls from the Rice Kitchen, bread from the same loaf, coffee from my French Press, and bananas from the same bunch. Other than that, we ate separate frozen meals from separate companies, and separate fruit and vegetables. My daughter was nowhere near the hospital so for her to come down with symptoms at almost exactly the same time that I did would have nothing to do with me being at the hospital and picking up a tummy bug. Also, there was no fever and no vomiting. It was definitely a gastroenterological issue, and when I think about how filthy that restaurant was when I sat down to wait for our food, I realize that I should have turned and ran. I put my hand on the table and it was gross--sticky and greasy. Yuck.
The people who work here have absolutely no idea how to deal with the public. I would love to see this place shut down and a nice new, clean restaurant in its place. This is one of the worst dining experiences I've had in 51...
Read moreI have ordered rice kitchen 3 times. I have never finished a dish. The first time, I got sesame chicken that had bone slivers in the first 3 pieces of chicken, so I assumed that all of them had bone slivers. I also got an order of crab ragoons, which tasted as if it was crab flavored toothpaste shoved into a pastry. The second time I got RK, I got egg foo yung, nothing wrong with that. It was the soupiest consistency inside of the somewhat crispy exterior. That was the grossest thing I have tasted yet, as far as consistency goes. But wait, it gets worse. I am incredibly ill at the time of this review, I had my roommate pick up my chicken noodle soup, which I think is incredibly hard to mess up. Yet, they did. I have never had soup that was greasy with oil. I just took one bite, and went to the bathroom to purge the contents of my stomach, at which my roommate said, “that bad, huh?” Yes. Yes it was that bad. Also, I live in incredibly close proximity to the restaurant, and have lost track of how many times their delivery driver (red APR), has almost hit me. So not only is the food terrible, their driver gives 0 hecks about the well-being of others. If I could give this 0 stars, that would still be way too high. I have adamantly warned others about how bad it is, and have discouraged people from eating there. As I’m writing this, my roommate just said, “wow, you’re not lying. I got a whiff of that, smells like straight...
Read moreFirst order was bad, but the owner did make right and provide new food Ordered takeout online around 11:45 pm. The order was manually confirmed and said to be ready in 10 minutes. Not believing that I arrived at 12:15 and still had to wait almost 20 more minutes. I'm thinking we'll at least it's fresh... I'm not sure anything was fresh...the chicken for both my General Tso and my husband's Orange was so crunchy and tough I couldn't finish my food. The taste was good, but there were pieces I couldn't even chew or cut with a fork and knife.
The crab Rangoon was okay and my husband said his fried dumplings were alright but even those tasted like they had been sitting around for awhile.
My son's scheszuan (spelling) shrimp tasted okay. But the shrimps texture was...weird and not good...
Overall. I would never order here again. Actually, I'm so mad that I spent over $60 and still hungry, that I'm on my way to return over half the food we ordered. We will see how they handle it to see if I change my review.
Update The gentleman, I'm assuming owner, wanted nothing to do with helping us at first. He did offer $20 dollar refund since some of the food was gone, but there was still two whole dishes left so he agreed to remake two of the chicken dishes. Those two dishes came back much better and so I will change my review to 4 stars since the owner did remake two of the dishes and...
