came here a couple of times with friends, and i would say i enjoyed my times there. i mostly ordered the "street food" instead of proper meal/dinner, and i think they have one of the best korean snacks around east lansing. the chickens were a bit hard to bit into, still cronchy tho (it was caramelized but i think it was made a bit thick as the outer layer of the chicken was a bit tough). i love the korean corn dogs there, get it every time i come and it never disappoints me. it could be sweetish for some's tatse but if u like a nice snackie snack, u know where to go. the vibe is chill, not too much going on around the store, pretty self-explanatory. the service is fast, pretty quick, and straightforward, u grab utensils and napkins and water at the counter, clean ur stacks and out it in the boxes, and other self-services as well. i did not have much interactions wirh the workers there, but they r nice. the bathroom is welly cleaned, it felt maintained. pretty much a clean place....
Read moreVery good food. I had read that the owner of the restaurant wants to position Kimchi Box restaurants as fast casual Korean fare, but I think the food takes a little too long to make to fit that category. It's good, though!
I had the kimchi chicken sandwich with Korean sassy sauce, which was very good. I upgraded to get the fries, which were unremarkable. (Next time I'll ask for them seasoned.) My wife got a tofu taco and a kimchi taco. She loved both. We split an order of steamed red bean buns, which were as good as could be expected. Unfortunately, we were unable to get Korean hotdogs. It sounds like you have to get to the restaurant early to get them while you can.
The restaurant itself is fine. We ate in the front section, which was nicely warmed. Looks like there's a garage door that they'll be able to open up for spring/summer dining. Looking forward to that. Yes, we will...
Read moreYUM! This place is amazing! The fries are a must, we tried the kimchi ones and they were just too good they were gone within minutes. The food was also fantastic. I tried the bibimbap and it was delicious. The serving was HUGE, I couldn't even finish half of it but I am looking forward to the leftovers. The vegetables were so fresh, and their sauces went fantastic with them. The service was very kind and helpful. We weren't familiar with all of the foods on the menu but the staff didn't hesitate to help out and explain any questions we had. The atmosphere was so cozy, we sat in the restaurant for quite some time after we finished eating because it was so enjoyable. Everything was nice and clean and very bright. We will absolutely be going back and I think the fries will become a regular part of my...
