I'm in town 4-5 times per year, always my go-to. Today was my first time using the app (user-friendly and perfectly timed for a walk from the Marriott). That's a plus! Ordered Avocado Toast and Pour Over (wanted to try the Teojomulco) coffee. I arrived just after 9AM, toast was ready and I saw my coffee in process, so presumably they got a fast start on it. Also a plus! ... UNTIL a line of 4-5 people formed, and baristas priorities shifted...now my pour over became neglected in favor of helping EVERYBODY in line first. Fast forward to 10 minutes later (after everyone in line ordered and were served) my now lukewarm, over-extracted pour over was ready...also didn't get to experience how this coffee should taste when brewed properly. If your staff doesn't like making pour overs, maybe you shouldn't offer them. There is zero way it should sit brewing for that long. Big regrets today about visiting Foster Coffee--while using the app is convenient, once you tip there's no incentive to provide good service, as I found out today...money for the coffee and tip definitely went down the drain (toast was great). I gave 3 Stars today, as Foster Coffee usually provides a good experience. Just cross your fingers that a line doesn't form while your order is in progress, or it could become ignored. Today was very much a Starbucks-like experience (which, if you don't know,...

Foster Coffee Company is a great place to get beverages, meet friends, study, etc. Located in Lansing, Michigan, this place is awesome! As this was my first time, I really enjoyed all Foster Coffee Company had to offer.
The food is great! The apple bread and turmeric/ginger tea was a hit! I had my tea iced, and I enjoyed every sip. The punkin latte was amazing as well.
The service was nice! There were really great staff who smiled! A smile goes so far. I enjoyed seeing how hardworking the staff worked and how well they explained the menu. So awesome!
The atmosphere was lit! 🔥 You would have thought this was a club for college students to study! It was a beautiful atmosphere, and it felt good holding conversations in this coffee house. I loved, loved, loved the vibe!
Foster Coffee Company has some great items! Without a doubt, I had a great experience there. Also, knowing the syrups and everything were made by them, I felt great spending money on...
Read moreI just had the worst crossiant of my life.
My latte was great. Just the right amount of lavender, sweet, full bodied espresso. And this is a coffee shop, so thank god. My only complaint on the latte is the price, a large is $7 but the "large" is a small anywhere else. I would 100% order it again though. Keep making lavender honey lattes!
Genuinely if you can not make a crossiant just don't sell a crossiant. It was hard, maybe stale, and flavorless. Crossiants are supposed to flake. It was a solid mass.
I ordered the carnivore something breakfast sandwich. For $9 I was expecting at least an effort on flavor. "Carnivore" apparently meant three slices of the thinnest bacon I have ever seen. The "brioche" was essentially white bread. Three slices of bacon, an overcooked, unseasoned egg, and some miscellaneous greens. I threw it away. In this economy? What a waste of $9.
The lemon poppyseed was fine. Dry, but fine. Maybe a bit too sweet but it outshined everything else. If you are going to charge so much for food items, make the food items good. Or just...
