I start this review by saying that I am incredibly unsure of the barista who took my order is new or not. I donât make this review to be angry, but to hope that he gets some awareness because it was a not so great experience. This was August 6th. Please skip to the second part of the review if you want the actual issue, and if you care about trans issues. đ
I am a former Starbucks barista, and am aware of what drinks baristas can and can not make. First off, he had denied me of 2 different drinks with very minor changes. (I was just trying to get the macadamia cold foam added to them lol.) Iâm not sure if he genuinely did not know that he could add things, or if he didnât want to waste time making them. He was also just generally quite unfriendly and spoke in almost mumbles so it was difficult to hear him. I donât blame him for that especially if heâs new, but it made it a very odd interaction. There was also a misunderstanding with an offer but that was fairly irrelevant.
Either way, that was not the heavily upsetting part. I am transgender, and I attempted 3 times total to ask him to change the name on my order when he scanned my code, because for some reason both the app and company wonât change that. He not only did not do that, seeming to just ignore it, but proceeded to loudly call out my deadname 3 times. It sucked. There is a discomfort trans people already have in ordering things and asking for their names to be put on orders correctly, and this just solidified how exhausting it could be. Once again, I donât think this is some horrible fireable offense, but considering Starbucks values I wish he wouldâve cared a little more. He seemed unmotivated to do...
Read moreI will start this review by stating I myself have worked at Starbucks, in Washington state where the original one is. This location has been going down hill for a while, several employees have come and gone. 9 times out of 10 my drink is wrong, when the store runs out of items they do not mark it out on there registers like they are supposed too so a mobile order does not request an item when they do not have it. The staff is rude, particularly 1 female barista. I watched her stand there right in front of a customer who was upset and tell everyone else that she was disrespected and couldn't believe someone would talk to her that way, meanwhile the person next to me waited 25 minutes for a mobile drip coffee order. When someone is paying 5 to 7 dollars for a drink, you get paid to make it correct. I have only had 1 person greet me by name, when you are a regular customer, the barista is supposed to remember your name, it is part...
Read moreOkay this starbucks location is not that bad!! They are always Very busy! They are usually out of some food. they get alot of mobile orders and cars wrapped around the building plus alot of people in line and what not maybe thats why it seems like it takes forever. Handcrafted drinks take time to make, this isn't mcdonalds or fast food where everything is pre-made and ready to just put into a cup they actually have to take the time to make it so if you dont have proper time to wait you probably should have just stopped at a gas station or mcd or something, not sorry. also, Ive had my fair share of weird experiences here also but I learned early on not to come here if I am in any kind of rush. This place can be a nice place to study. parking is a nightmare most times of the day. Ive definitely had my drink made wrong but its always been...
