Service From Young girl Was Dumbfounding after Paying and getting recipet I was going to grab my food That was sitting Rght on the counter And she Said NO to Wait One second, For literally Absolutely nothing ? she put her head back to look at whatever had her attention . And after 15 seconds I told her “i really dont like waiting blindly What exactly am I waiting for!?” She than told me i can Grab my food . I blanked out for a second and questioned is this my food cause like i said i had just tried to grab it just less than a minute ago!?!? She didnt Awnser obviously mad That i told her i dont like waiting “blindly” sounds rude but what i mean is she can at least tell me what im waiting For and if so, how long? so i can go wait in my car ! So anyways she says that Thats my. In that moment I wanted to ask What in the actual hell did she make me wait for ? Just so you can be rude Take a second to do something personal ehile o wait for my food sitting right in front of me . Just my food sitting In the bag getting cold. Each small taco was $1.39. About the tacos. They were generously filled with protein. So much so I thought they were the big tacos. I got 1 carnitas, 1 el pastor. Just bomb. Read moreThe restaurant atmosphere is what you would expect in this neighborhood, but the ladies running it make it feel like you're at your abuelita's house on a weekend morning waiting for breakfast.
I ordered the pozole and asked if they could toast some birote and add butter to it...because that's what my abuelita does. They had no issues with me asking for an "off the menu" side dish which is cool.
Here is my opinion on the pozole: the granos (hominy) felt like they opened a can from the local store which is not bad, but not what I consider "home made". The pork was good, but it's significantly better at Gallo Giro a few blocks away along with the granos. HOWEVER, the caldito was eye opening, it was fantastic! Maybe the best...
