My wife and I like to travel to different cites around and outside of L.A. to try out different style of cuisine and feel the flavor and the taste of the enthic cuisine. We headed to Boyle Heights were you can find best Mexican food around and also the history. We decided tryout this restaurant called MI Lindo Guanajuato its on the corner of Indiana and 1st short distance from Gold Metro. This our first time at the restaurant and having breakfast we were greeted by owners of the restaurant they very friendly we got seated anywhere. The restaurant is small but it have five tables but I heard the food is really good.
They pass out the menu then we were looking at it to see what to order. My wife decided order pozole because she haven't have pozole for a while. The pozole comes with tostada and ralish, onion and shredded lettuce. I decided to order Menudo it come with onion, lime, cilantro plus it come with hand made fresh flour tortillas Everything is made from scratch daily. They brought the pozole and Menudo.
We decided add the fresh condiments that comes with pozole and Menudo. My Menudo was incredible good it have tripe and other meat they use in traditional Menudo. I add lime, onion and cilantro it more flavor in the Menudo and I use the fresh made flour tortillas they were so good. My wife pozole she...

I received a bad batch of handmade tortillas and told him about it. He wasn't offended or bothered (like some servers/owners) would. He offered to make a new one, but I didn't want to be a bother. Instead, he gave me a discount from my bill (which i was fine with).
Regarding the food, I ordered some eggs with nopales, rice, and beans. The rice and beans had great flavor and wasn't over seasoned. I loved their rice, which came out fluffy. Their mild salsa was pretty good.
We did dine in. Their eating area is small. Their restroom is outside the restaurant. And their parking is a tight squeeze, so be careful if you have a bigger car.
We definitely would come back again. I just forgot to take a...
Read moreThe food is amazing! The chilaquiles are so tasty, just perfection. I've had their pozole as well, it's very tasty but they only do pork, I prefer chicken. But, if you enjoy pork pozole, definitely give it a try.
They also ha have a beverage special, wink wink lol.
Their hot sauce is FIRE. If you can't handle heat, stay away from this sauce. But, if you're a fan of a runny nose from spice, this sauce hits hard. It has a nice smokiness to it that is just amazing.
I took down one star simply because the AC doesn't seem to cool down the place very well. So, it can get a little uncomfortable. Also, they don't have a restroom.
There is a small parking lot next to the restaurant. I usually find a spot, but if you don't, no worries, there's plenty of residential parking.
Give this...
