LA Bufadora Bar — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I just had the most amazing experience I have ever had at a Bar at La Bufadora. For all of the people claiming it’s gentrified, stop it, the world keeps going and nothing can stay the same. This bar has come into new ownership 6 months ago and it is NOT the same Bufadora that opened in ‘89. I’m sorry if you want the bar to be the same 36 years later but that is simply not realistic. The bar is BETTER than ever and caters to the community by having open mic nights and local musicians that don’t have these spaces available to them especially in light of everything that has been going on with the raids. I genuinely fell in love with this bar because of their selection of beers and mixed drinks. The mixed drinks are made with FRESH fruit juices and only the highest caliber of spirits which include tequila and mezcal which make them super delicious and are of higher quality than any other bar’s drinks. You will not be disappointed. The prices reflect the quality and taste of the drink and is not too much considering the care and attention put into them. The vibe of the bar is also wonderful and I can see myself coming here often with friends and family to relax and listen to the live music. I highly recommend this bar. I took my wife to see Mariachi Manchester. The band arrived on time but the lead singer didn't show up until 1130 pm. Showtime was 10 pm. It was a Friday night, we drove from the S. Bay area even though I had to work the next day. The atmosphere was good, it's a very small but intimate venue. Service was slow because there were only two bartenders with a full house. They ran out of specific imported Mexican beers from their menu. Had to settle for Corona's which eventually sold out as well. It became a gentrified hipster bar with over priced beer. I dont know if they purposely increased the prices to prevent previous customers to return but a beer is ten dollars . Not a big selection, about only 3 beers to choose from and the rest are craft beers. This bar also keeps canceling events they promote and the hours of operation keep changing from advertised.
