Disgusting food. It shocks me how this restaurant functions. They offer greasy horrible food that is not cheap. They are ripping off the community that does not know better.
Tonight I ordered chicken enchiladas in green sauce to go. While I was waiting I bought a nice homeless guy a carne asada burrito. He sat and ate it and I asked how it was! He said not good. He was spitting out most of the grissle meat. He said he gets 'street meat' at the taco stands for a dollar and it is MUCH BETTER.
When I arrived home the enchiladas were a disaster! It was pure mush. No structure to the tortillas like enchiladas should be. It was literally like someone ate it and hurled it out. Pure disgust. Weird pieces of dark meat that smelled very odd. Dry with a chunk of horrible cheese on top. How do these people justify such garbage I'd like to know.
This is not the first time I go there. My Father who lives in the area eats there because there simply is nothing better. Every time I have ordered it is inedible. Sadly people in the area have few alternatives and accept this vile food and pay a premium. Its not fair to them.
During the Holidays people line up for their Tamales which utterly shocks me. They are dry and pure masa.
It is wrong how this company takes advantage of the community. I could go on all day about this operation, but I will refrain. Instead I have reported them to the proper authorities.
Shame on...
Read moreI only gave LILIANA'S TAMALES one star because the algorithm doesn't allow me to write my opinion if I give ZERO stars. First of all....STOP LYING PEOPLE about saying that your tamales are fresly made every day. I stop by your location at First Street / Indiana. I bought 1 and 1/2 dozens of tamales(one of chicken, and one of cheese)for dinner. Second,YOUR TAMALES WERE HARD AS ROCK,FLAVORLESS, DRY...and I can better describe them with one word..."OBNOXIOUS ". I as a MEXICAN can say that you previously froze the tamales because even the chicken was very dry and hard.Third, stop making profits from selling bad tamales.I would recommend to those who are thinking about ordering tamales for the Holydays to go to another place.I hope my review help people NOT TO BE...
Read moreTamales are decent size, price and good flavor. I don’t care for tamales just made as I like to cool them down and lightly pan fry them with a side of two scrambled eggs and my home made salsa. Gorditas de Chicharrón and rajas are the best. The rajas need more flavor but overall well made and beats you making them at home. Red salsa tasty and the green once if you don’t like spicy. Friendly service and some items are a bit high like the green Chile pork plate but it’s better to get the Gordita!
Missing the 4th and 5th star because it’s basic traditional cooking, most people can make the exact same food, but it is convenient to have it made for you. I would suggest adding more spice and cheese to the Gordita de rajas and some salt, they can be a bit bland. ...
