Parking was easy, in a strip mall at the end. This is a fairly large restaurant tucked behind the hotels off the highway. They have a bar on the right side of the place when you walk in. The decor is warm, modern, and it feels really clean in there. I checked to see if they have other locations, and they have quite a few. This is a chain restaurant, so they don't have a large selection of authentic meats or dishes. What they do have excels in flavor and execution. Service was good, anything we needed we got in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered a house marg on the rocks with salt. It wasn't tart at all, had a light pineapple flavor, and a hint of smoke to it. It did the trick well. My cousin had a XX draft, which came in a frosty mug and was perfect temperature. They have a solid tequila selection of 30 or 40. I had a soft poured Corralejo at $7, not terrible. Chips & Salsa!!! Chips...ok, serviceable, nothing special, yet not terrible. Salsa...heavy tomato taste, pureed hard, yet tasty. Didn't have a cilantro taste like I dig, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered Taquitos Mexicanos: Four stuffed, deep fried corn tortillas, two chicken and two beef, served with pico de gallo, crema fresca, shredded cheese, and lettuce. $9.50. They were all fried perfectly, both the chicken & beef were marinated/seasoned flawlessly. They were crispy, yet the meat inside was moist and really tasty! I ordered a variety of items from the build your own combo list. Tacos choosing corn tortilla chicken, hard shell beef, and bean & cheese in a four. Chicken...moist and delicious again the chicken game is strong with flavors. Beef...excellent GB Taco. Not as greasy as tonalteca does, but good. Bean & Cheese...gross. The beans have a funk to them here, and are thick as hell. Chile Relleno...exactly what I want when I get one of these peppers stuffed with cheese. Rice & Beans...Rice was soft and fluffy, a little sticky, but not dry. The beans were just like in the taco...Gross. I tried my cousins Baja Fish taco & man that was a really good fish taco!!! That spicy lime garlic sauce with it was the truth. I'd order those in a heart beat.

Been to Plaza Azteca in Outerbanks which made me visit the Kennet Square location being the same brand. An extremely disappointing experience with more than a couple things that went wrong. Food was bland. Hard to communicate with the staff due to language barrier. They punched in an incorrect order and brought the same at the table making us wait A LOT to get the right order. We were told that the dessert which is a part of birthday celebration is on the house and they ended up adding that to the order. Cocktails were nice. And Guac was very fresh. Those were the only two positives of the entire dine in experience. Pathetic enchiladas and fajitas. They did put up a sarcastic job application post for the staff which now makes me think that they already know their staff service isn’t the best. Avoid this place if you are looking to get an overall dine in experience.

I was a little disappointed this this place. Not the worst Mexican food, but definitely average. The restuarant looks nice and service isn't awful. The bartender can make a very good margarita. This us the first Mexican restaurant without some sort of hot sauce at the table. When I asked for some, I was delivered a ramakin of hot salsa and was charged $1.99 for it. That is absurd. Also avoid the pork Carnitas, they were not good at all. The taquitos mexicanos were pretty good. I would skip this place and try another if you are critical about your food.

Ok, I see alot of positive reviews on here...and I am sorry to go against the grain but my experience here was very unusual to say the least. Not bad, but unusual.

Started off fine, seated immediately. Salsa, chips, guacamole, all good.✅

Strawberry Margarita on the rocks...tasted mostly like a cheap store bought margarita mix (mild chemical taste)and no alcohol...but passable.✅

Then it got STRANGE. I asked the waitress what kind of salad dressing selection that they have available. She said, " only one salad comes with a raspberry vinaigrette, there is no other salad dressing that they serve." They offer 4-5 different salads and they only have ONE type of salad dressing... AND that one dressing is raspberry? CALL ME CRAZY BUT RASPBERRY 1FLOODED BEANS AND GUACAMOLE in a lettuce filled fried tortilla shell SOUNDS TERRIBLE.

Ok moving on...I requested 2 selections from the "create your own combo" section of the menu. The waitress says, " im sorry we dont offer combos from that page anymore". (Why was this not mentioned or crossed off?)

Ok moving on again, waitress brings me a laminated sheet with the "new combo platters". I say ok, " what is in your burritos? She says, " ground beef only, cheese if you request it". . . What?!

I order a taco and enchilada. Enchilada was DRY but to be fair tasted ok..

Chicken taco contained chicken, cheese, lettuce .That. was. It.Very bland.

Rice and beans were passable.

I ordered an adult plain cheese quesadilla on the side...it was a small tortilla folded in half....by itself...alone on a plate.I asked if maybe there was a mix up and they accidentally gave me a kids quesadilla instead? Waitress said no and walked away.

The waitress (she did not smile once during our Entire Visit).

Decor was nothing amazing but the interior was clean and pleasant.

In closing...food was very plain and seemed to lack basic ingredients. If you like dressing on your salad, tomatoes or sour cream on your tacos, or anything out side of ground beef wads in your burrito...maybe...

We used to eat here all of the time but lately our last few experiences have been less than pleasurable. I typically don't write reviews but with such a horrible experience, especially our last one, I feel that I must. Waitress was inattentive, service was slow, employees and owner are rude. Our food came out wrong and they accidentally served us 2 extra entrees. When we tried explaining to the staff member who brought out the food about the misunderstanding/mistake, they had a hard time communicating, so she sent an English speaking employee instead. Once we explained the situation, we received eye rolls and attitude in return! They did offer to take back the extra entrees, but not without a negative attitude. The waitress came to the table shortly after, apologizing, stating that she made a mistake and that she would take it off the check. They took away the extra entrees, we assumed the matter was dealt with. The owner then comes to the table, holding one of the plates that they took back. He was angry and literally yelling, asking us why there was food missing from the plate. He was insinuating that we ate it before they took it back! He had the audacity to disrespect us and embarrass us in front of the entire restaurant! We explained to him that no one touched the food, but he didn't want to hear it, he kept on. We even offered to pay for the extra entrees, to prevent him for continuing. It seems that he was angry that he had to take it off the bill and was trying to find a way to have us to pay for it. We were shocked at the lack of respect that he has for his customers. He was belittling us for their mistake! Now we understand why they have lost so many customers in the past few years. We definitely won't be...
