Stopped in again last night. No reservations here so we waited at a very crowded bar for 45 minutes. Saturday night so that's expected. I tried one of the signature cocktails, a Hurricane and it wasn't very good. Second drink was a spicy margarita and loved that one! After finally getting seated we got the excellent lobster bisque and very nice service. The problems arose when we ordered a broiled snapper and shrimp combo. They need to rename the broiled snapper to boiled or steamed flavorless snapper. It was pale with absolutely no indication of broiling. After mentioning it to the server, she insisted on returning it to kitchen but she returned with the exact same snapper with blacked seasoning sprinkled on top. Seriously?! That second chance was equally as bad. Sent it back and they reluctantly took that off the bill. My steak and shrimp was fine and the blacked grouper filet was good as well. We skipped dessert. Overall, a 45 minute wait and what stood out was a lousy Hurricane and that terrible experience with the snapper. Kind of bad for a place with "Bar & Grille" in it's name. Won't be returning.

I really wanted to give Alice Sweetwater's a higher rating. Some things I really enjoy here, and they do care about the customer experience. Reasons for just 3 stars? The outside patio/deck area is great, but it seems to be a haven for the local chain-smokers of SW FL. In addition, the outside bar staff, with a few notable exceptions, can be pretty surly and ignore folks. Not a fan of a bar staff with an attitude. They have some very good food, daily specials, great chili, and a wonderful steak salad you can substitute on grouper, chicken or "other." Update: I have to upgrade my review here. The food and atmosphere are pretty darn good, and it's always nice to have the option of a patio or outdoor eating area where they take care of the customers. Plenty of food options here and it's a good stop for anyone looking for quality cooking.

Hidden Gem with Outstanding Service! Alice Sweetwater’s Bar & Grille was a fantastic surprise! This place quickly became a favorite – it’s definitely a hidden gem in Naples. The service was incredible, and our server, Miss Kelley, deserves a special shoutout. She was friendly, attentive, and made excellent recommendations from the menu. Thanks to Miss Kelley’s suggestion, my son devoured the lobster bisque – he absolutely loved it! He also enjoyed the calamari, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. For myself, the blackened fish tacos were a delicious win. The fish was cooked perfectly, and the flavors all came together beautifully. We can’t wait to go back to Alice Sweetwater’s and try more from their menu. If you’re looking for a great meal with outstanding service, this is the place!

Naples is a great place to find great food! Spend your dollars at places that appreciate and respect you.

I have eaten or ordered take out at Alice twice a week since moving back to South Florida 6 months ago. Sometimes I would bring out of town guests. I live very close, the food was pretty good and the service fairly good.

I was one of the many that evacuated from south Florida a before hurricane Irma hit. After 3 wks I was pretty stressed about getting back to see how much damage was done to my home. My girlfriend and I traveled with my 6 yr old golden retriever, 9 hrs straight form Atlanta, early Sunday morning. The last 3 hrs I bribed her to drive straight through to Alice for some shrimp before going home to wreckage. Wanted some good food in our stomachs.

When we arrived my girlfriend ran inside to the restroom. I walked to the outside bar area but not inside as I asked if my golden retriever dog was allowed to sit with us on their open patio. The bartender said she was sorry but the owner doesn't allow dogs. So I said that was ok. She insisted on asking the owner but then came back w the same answer. Again I said no worries but I am just going to wait for my girlfriend that was in the bathroom and hopefully order to go food. I stepped out of the bar / patio over hang area outside the front of the restaurant. Now keep in mind Charlie is very well behaved and is used to being in my doctors office greeting pts for the past 6 yrs so he was just sitting next to me. The place was dead. It was 3:00pm.

The scum bag owner apparently had a problem with this and instead of coming out to speak to me he sent a message w the bartender that I couldn't even wait at the front of the restaurant. I was told I had to go away. This is all between the 2-3 minutes it took to wait for my girlfriend to get out of the bathroom.

I personally will never spend a dollar more at this fairly nice locals restaurant but I wanted to share my experience so others could make their own. I am a small business owner and would never treat someone like this. It appears the owner doesn't respect the locals that frequent his "locals spot". I also believe in voting with my dollars. If I hear of someone that owns a place of business does not act right, then I just don't support that establishment. I will post a pic so you can see what a threat Charlie and I were outside the restaurant.

I came here last night with my family, and we sat on the patio outside.

We were promptly seated in a shaded area with water misters and fans. I was concerned about the mist getting on my food and making it wet or cold but it didn't affect the meal beyond insuring that we were cooled off as patrons.

The waitress was lovely. My partner and I ordered "fru fru tourist drinks" and I specified that I wanted vodka and my boyfriend wanted rum. We quickly received our drinks and they were perfectly fruity and tropical and just what we were looking for. She was very attentive and checked in on us very often.

We got Calamari and potato skins as our appetizers and they arrived before our entrees as expected. I was thrilled with the calamari as it's so easy to make rubbery, but this was decadent and tender. The potato skins received a 10/10 from my boyfriend.

For dinner my boyfriend's grandma got peel and eat shrimp, my boyfriend got a charbroil chicken sandwich, and I got the lobster sandwich.

The shrimp were huge and easy to peel, and my boyfriend's 100 pound grandma loved them so much she finished all 20 before going to bed. My boyfriend said the chicken sandwich was great. I loved my lobster sandwich, it came with a fresh tropical coleslaw that is absolutely necessary as it brightens up the sandwich which would otherwise be heavy. It also had a rum soaked grilled pineapple ring which wasn't too boozy but gave a great complexity to the sandwich.

I would say it's about mid-range as far as price goes. It's not McDonald's level cheap, but still very affordable, especially considering the quality of the food. Everything was neatly presented, well seasoned, and the service was fantastic. The atmosphere of the back patio was very quiet and relaxed. I would...

Treated horribly here by bar staff. Checked in with hostess and was told we were third in line for a table or bar seating was first come, first served, fine with us, took a pager to be notified. We stood by the bar for about 15 minutes, no problem. A couple got up to leave the bar and we headed for their seats. As they paid their bill we talked with them, no issues. I told my spouse to hand the pager back in as we were going to be seated at the bar. As they left we went to take our seats at the bar and was told by the bartender (f, long brunette hair), that the seats were saved by her. When I said I understood that the bar was first come first served she replied that she was saving them. I pointed out a guy that had come in after us and taken a single seat obviously not reserved she again reiterated that she was holding them. Since we had handed in our pager we were out of queue and no seats at the bar. I went to the hostess in the dining room and asked again if the seats at the bar were first come, first served, and she replied that yes they were. When I told her that the bartender was holding seats, her reply was that she could not control the bartender. I left with no food and no drinks, no seat as there seems to be a rule for regulars but not for visitors. This happened Jan 26 at 5:15 p.m. in case management cares. Never going back there again after having been there several times in the past. After checking with the hostess I checked in at the bar again, our chairs were still empty (held for the bartenders friends I...
