Szechuan Chinese Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in East Naples

The restaurant is clean. The man serving me was was very friendly, helpful, and a good server. My soup was delicious, my lunch dish was a good portion and very tasty. Why the three stars? I ordered a side of steamed dumplings and I didn't like them. They weren't horrible, I just didn't like them. I told my server and asked to have it removed from my bill since I didn't want them. He was apologetic and kind. He did exactly what he should have done. I must say he was one of the best servers I've had since moving to Naples 14 years ago. He is a model server. Then.... what I assume is the manager, an older Asian woman, came to my table obviously upset and offended that I didn't want them. She asked rather harshly what was wrong with them. I explained I found them over cooked. That they were falling apart and I just didn't like them. Also, I didn't say to her, it had too much wonton wrap and the filling was only the size of a grape and tough; because it was over cooked.) She then proceeded to get angry at me and tell me there was nothing wrong with them so why didn't I like them. I tried to explain I didn't say they are bad just that I don't like them over cooked. She continued to angrily tell me I am wrong and there's nothing wrong with them; they are fresh. I felt as though I was being scolded by my mother for not eating my vegetables. It was not the response I expected and inappropriate. She gave me a soup to go for free as a compensation but her behavior and attitude were disrespectful and not how a customer...

The restaurant's atmosphere is nice and the food was good (not the best, but good). My wife and I stopped there and were trying to decide whether we wanted to eat there or at the Thai place a few store fonts down. We went into each and looked at the menus for both places. We finally decided on Szechuan because the prices seemed good.

When we sat down we looked again and I saw the General Tso's Dinner combo was $15. I thought the menu at the front said $9. I assumed I must have been looking at the lunch menu. Although we thought things where less then they where, and we picked this place over another mainly because of the prices, we decided we where going to stay since we were already seated and short on time.

As we went to leave I looked again at the menu at the front of the restaurant and it did have the dinner combos listed at about 1/3 less then the menu when you sit down [see photo].

I really want to give this place one star because of this. But, the food wasn't bad and I knew the price before I ordered. It's just a little sneaky the way they seem to have a bait and...

Awful customer service!!! Will never order or visit here again!! Extremely disappointed in their continued decline in service and rude manager because I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years! When realizing my pick-up order was made incorrectly, I called to politely inform them of the mistake. Instead of receiving an apology and request to remake the order, I was told "what's the big deal?" When I said the big deal is it's not how I requested it, I was told "well, that's how the chef made it, if you don't like it never come back!" I was stunned by the response since I was being as polite as possible, so I asked to speak with the manager and she replied that she was the manager and hung up the phone on me! In shock, I returned to the restaurant to return the food and demand a refund! They reluctantly gave me a refund without any apology or attempt to correct THEIR error! My entire lunch break was wasted and I had to return to work without lunch! I've never been...
