Yesterday, I went into the store to buy some snacks and a lighter. After paying for my items, I realized I had forgotten to grab the lighter from the counter. I called the store to ask if I could return to pick it up, and I was told that would be fine. However, when I arrived, the situation was entirely different. I showed my receipt to the cashier who had rung me up earlier, Aniva, and he went to the back to have a manager review the footage. After a few minutes, the manager came out and showed me the footage of my transaction, which confirmed that I had paid for the items but didn’t pick up the lighter.
I asked if I could simply get the lighter since I had already paid for it. The manager then showed me footage of someone else taking the lighter from the counter. He told me I would need to buy a new one because someone else had taken the item I paid for. This didn’t make sense to me because the footage clearly showed that I didn’t receive the merchandise. When I explained that the cashier hadn’t handed it to me, the manager became hostile, accusing me of attacking his cashier. He raised his voice and told me there was nothing he could do, and that I had to purchase a new one.
When I asked what would happen to the person who took my lighter, the manager said he would “talk to him” because the individual was a regular customer. This was completely shocking, especially since it was clear that I had paid for the item and never received it. The customer service and resolution process were both poor. As someone who works in retail, I can say that this is not how customer issues should be handled. Additionally, the cashier acting clueless about ringing me up earlier...
Read moreI’ve been noticing a recurring issue with the milk and creamer at 7-Eleven. Even though the expiration dates seem fine, the milk often has particles in it—almost like it’s starting to curdle. It’s especially noticeable around the rim of the bottles, which looks really unsanitary. I suspect the problem might be due to improper storage or possibly the practice of mixing different milk or creamer bottles when they get low.
After drinking coffee from there, I’ve consistently had stomach issues, and now I’m realizing the milk might be the cause. It’s disappointing because the coffee itself is decent, but the condition of the milk makes it a health concern. I hope management looks into this seriously and improves how they handle and store their...
Read moreI'm not sure what's happened over the years. I used to worship this place. I ate here several times by myself enjoying the buzz of the highway. I ate a pizza and taquito that day. Twas the third day before December. I vomited this content back up that night.
This was the second time a 7-11 gave me food poisoning. The first time was the one all the way in bloomfield by the state street diner. Thank God there was Thanksgiving break, or I was in trouble for university.
Unfortunately, I won't be returning to this or any other 7-11. Sad that employees/employers can't be bothered to wash their hands or store their food in suitable storage. Will be eating frozen taquitos from Costco...
