Ryan's better taste — Restaurant in East Orange

This place is fantastic! The other day I tried, Ryan’s Better Taste, for lunch. It was a real treat! I had ordered their Brown Stew Chicken w/ Collard Greens, Rasta Pasta (instead of rice), & Baked Mac n Cheese. The stew chicken had great flavor and was extremely juicy. Loved the brown stew chicken. The collard greens were some of the best I’ve had in a while from a Caribbean place. They were tasty, tender, and just what I needed. The Rasta pasta tasted creamy and complimented the meal really well. I was surprised at how good the baked Mac n Cheese was. Usually at Caribbean places the “macaroni pie” is not typically tantalizing. It’s usually just plain tasting noodles and bland cheese baked together. Theirs was extremely flavorful and you can tell they put a lot of love into it! The lady who took my order was really nice, and attentive to my order. I can not wait to try this place again. Ate from food truck. Food was descent but the attitude of the lady serving food was horrible. Called with a simple question and nice tone. Called to get understanding as she told me one thing. My sister and i stopped by here and we were very satisfied with our purchase. My sister had the turkey wings, rice and peas, and collard greens 10/10. I had the jerk chicken wings, rice and peas, and mac n cheese. 10/10.The food was delicious, and the portions were generous.
