Higher quality fast food than the usual suspects. Clean. Condiments and drinks/covers weren't sticky. Very well organized. A drink had spilled into the condiments bin, but considering that it was just after dinner rush, that is understandable. I was disappointed to find that my double butter burgers had transformed into a double butter burger with cheese. Or more likely cheese-based foodstuffs. Dreadful.
The staff were very courteous and friendly.
Restroom was clean. This Culver's has done away with paper towels except for one motion-activated towel dispenser by the faucets. No paper towel debris all over the sink and the floor. And the restroom door has one of those step-and-pull-with-the-sole-of-your-shoe things affixed to its base. Much less likely to contaminate your just-washed hands in order to open the door.
In general I like Culver's and this was one of the nicest I visited in years.
The atmosphere? It's screaming, racing around, hyperactive kids purportedly being supervised by adults. But seriously? Ancient grandmas and teenagers who could care less about their charges' behavior. I don't really blame them. But it's why I get my orders to go.
Verdict? I still love me...
Read moreA man at the takeout counter took my order. He appeared to me as if he didn't really know what he was doing. Maybe he was a new worker? He took my order and told me that it would be ready in 15 minutes. He told me to go have a seat and he will let me know when my food is ready for me to take out and head home. I went back up to the counter to ask him if there was a number that I would need when they would call my name. He told me that I wouldn't need a number and that he would come get me when it was done. I was waiting way longer than 15 minutes for my food. So I decided to go up to the counter and ask where my food was after a lady asked me had I been helped yet? I told her that I was waiting on my order. So she went over to the takeout food I guess for the doordasher to pick up when they are picking up an order. The lady found my order just sitting up on the shelf and the man never came back and told me that my food was ready. So when I get home my fries are cold they are bland my burger was cold and I put it in my microwave when I got back home period this was my first experience with getting food from Culver's. I don't think that I...
Read moreThis store has gone downhill. We love Culver's and are relatively regular customers, but today was the worst experience we've had at a Culver's. Waited 35 min, no food, finally got through the crowd around the counter to ask about it. Staff claimed they were busy, but there was clearly something wrong with the order. Ticket we received when we finally got our food was stamped 35 min after the original receipt for our order. We saw whole groups of people arrive, get their food, and leave before our order was apparently even started. Food was cold and missing items we had ordered, so another trip to the counter. The store is not in a great location either, it's an unattractive area and it's difficult getting in and out, and we've had problems with people roaming the parking lot after dark. We hate shopping in East Peoria so we avoid it as much as we can anyway, but will for sure avoid this store...
