(Warning do not eat here) I would never come to this place or eat at this place when I got off of work. Working all day I was very hungry so I went through the drive-thru and I told the girl I had a coupon for a family meal so she asked if I wanted chicken or fish I told her chicken then she asked me was sids I told her onion rings and coleslaw and I also order something else but at the same time she was rude so I waited for 20 minutes to get to the drive-thru window girl told me to let me have your phone with the coupon so I did at the same time she almost dropped my $900 phone then she told me I cannot use my coupon because it was expired but I think she was racist because I was white especially since I come in there three to four times a week cuz I work at Kroger's you will never see me in this place ever again since I was your all-time favorite customer all I know I'm telling everybody at Kroger you guys very...

We were a little surprised that the dining area was closed, but it turned out to be just fine. The gentleman at the drive thru spoke clearly, repeated our order, and was just simply wonderful. He took our payment, thanked us, told us our chicken and fish meals would be out shortly and then we waited....and waited. Expecting warm food at best, when he gave us our food, it was HOT (straight out of the fryer HOT)! We pulled into a parking spot to eat since the dining area was closed, and we had a 45-minute drive home with HOT food. You don't often get hot food, so we wanted to enjoy it while we could. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious! Way to go, LJS team! We don't have a LJS in Bloomington-Normal any longer, so this was the perfect ending to a very long day. Long John Silver's is my FAVORITE take-out restaurant. The food is ALWAYS very hot and most of it is quite tasty. The only issues I have there is that the order is often incorrect and if I forget to check it, I have to drive another 15 minutes back from my home to get whatever has been forgotten it just go without. Also, I used to order the rice pilaf often. But, I no longer order it because the last 20 times I've tried it, it's been AWFUL! Most times it's not fully cooked. The other times it tastes like it's been sitting out for HOURS or days. It is incredibly dry and either had uncooked hard pieces, or is so dry and pasty, and has no seasoning that it's virtually not edible. I know I've tried a LOT of times, hoping they've got it right.
