I had ordered 2 Thanksgiving platter meals paying extra for added ham to be picked up at 3pm Thanksgiving day. My husband arrived at 3 to find a mass of people waiting to pick up their meals, some waiting as long as 2 hours from when they were to pick theirs up. My husband saw bags of food with people’s names on them and asked if they needed help as he would call out the names, but he was told “no”. So the man next to my husband said,”well they didn’t tell me no” so he went back & was calling the names out & people came forward to get their prearranged/paid for meals. My husband finally received ours & brought it to where I was staying only to discover they had given us only one meal. We then turned around and went back to the Resturant and I went in finding still a mass of waiting people. I went to the front and told the staff person I had ordered 2 meals and had only received one showing her the contents of the bad and my receipt. She acted like she did not know what to do but took my bag and went to the kitchen. While I was waiting the man next to me said he was suppose to get his food at 2 pm (it was already 3:45). I was finally given my bag back with the 2 meals. When we reached home I found there was no ham added to the new platter & no cranberry sauce. It appeared apparent there was no manager nor experienced person managing the masses of people waiting for their food and the one person handing out meals was inexperienced not knowing what to do & no one hi I b her any direction. In fact they were handing out meals over the same cash register site as patron were trying to get to to pay for the meals they had just eaten there. You can imagine how cold the food was and with it being Turkey being held out of refrigeration for that long was a food poisoning accident waiting to occur. I waited until Monday to call asking for a manager to register my complaint. The girl who answered the phone said the manager was with their IT person asking what did I want to complain about. I told her I wanted to talk to the manager & would call back later. An hour & a half later I called again asking it the manager was now free as I wanted to register a complaint. She asked about what. I kept telling her I wanted to speak to the manager and she kept asking about what. I finally told her I wanted the manager or I would be registering 2 complaints. She then said she was that...
Read moreWe had to wait for a party of 5. When taken to our table 4 tables of 5 available clean and dried. Should not have to of waited. Waitress came up behind me said I'll be with you in a minute. Two more tables of 5 were seated. Their waitress was on the job. Table 1 handicap elderly people. Great job. Second table of 5 strangled in the waitress was on them in less than a minute 2 minutes at maximum. Our waitress showed up wanted to know if we were ready to order. I said what? We want drinks and then order. My family stopped me. No we will order. Ok I'm use to sipping coffee and deciding but your right. We ordered 5 minutes later the drinks showed up. I asked if they had regular sugar.( oh are they out. Yes. She finally got our brought a small saucer plate rounded with packets of sugar. Mean while the other 2 groups are being served their meal. I'm a Retired A.F.MSgt and now a truck driver. When we received our food she had forgot who got what plates. She was also reminded of the extra order of toast. Forgot to say one of the other waitress asked how it was going. I asked if she had seen my waitress I'd like to have more coffee. She actually brought it to us. I asked for a customer survey form and was immediately given a 15% discount. Really this place needs some management help. Stephany needs released. I have been in truck stops on Veterans day and seen one lady taking care of 12 seat position and did not experience this delay. My choice of restaurants in Peoria I hop or your place It will be I Hop at our Christmas visit. A side not heard one waitress ask another if it was ok by the rules to add another table to a 6 seat table for the...
Read moreLove breakfast and lunches at Bob Evans. Hot coffee and great service. Went to have a meal with our 80+ in-laws and they loved it. Wheelchair accessible and have comfortable tables that wheelchair fits under nicely. Had my favorite Bob Evans meal, chicken fried steak. Also had their fabulous pumpkin bread. Photos do not do the food justice, but you just have to try it for yourself. My husband and I try to get here at often as possible. Good selection, and always friendly service.😊 Went back today a second time after voting...this time tried the pot roast, with carrots, mashed potatoes and banana bread. Wow it was delicious! 👍 On Thanksgiving day we went back to Bob Evans in East Peoria, and had an excellent turkey dinner. We had no waiting time and from the greeter, cooking staff, and waitress, everyone was friendly and smiling. The yeast rolls we're just like grandma used to make, and the pumpkin pie was delicious. My husband had the apple pie, and loved it. The Thanksgiving meal consisted of turkey and dressing with gravy, your choice of bread (I usually get their pumpkin bread, but I had their yeast rolls today)...oh my stars....they were fabulous! You got your choice of 3 sides, I had green beans w/ham, mashed potatoes, and their honey glazed baby carrots. Topped off with a piece of pie, and it was the perfect Thanksgiving feast. We plan on coming back next year ☺Best part.....no...
