Review Date: July 28th, 2013 Super Gyros was Super Good! Our buddy was in town while on leave from the Navy and we agreed to get lunch at Super Gyros. We didn’t spend much time inside as we spent more time after lunch talking in the parking lot about random stuff. What I can tell you is that Super Gyros has your typical layout of a McDonald’s or Hardees/Carl Jrs. There is a counter with menus up and behind the cashier. They take your order, you get a number, you grab a seat and you either have the food brought out to you or you pick it up at the counter. I am a newbie when it comes to gyros, so I had a hard time deciphering the menu. I settled on a lamb gyro combo. I know soda and I know french fries, but this was my first gyro. We grabbed a table and caught up on times while we waited for our food. It didn’t take long as there wasn’t too many people ordering food. I actually never see more than 1-2 people ordering from here at a time, so I am surprised it is still in busy as of late 2020. But, it’s good to see they are still open. Back on track. After 10 minutes, all three of us had our food out in front of us and I was staring at my gyro like a deer in headlights. I didn’t know if I should roll it up like a burrito to eat or fold it in half like a taco. I think I did a half-hearted burrito roll that left more of it on the wax paper than in my mouth. I tell you what… for never having a gyro nor lamb before, this was fantastic. The gyro wrap itself was thicker than a tortilla shell but not impossibly too thick to enjoy. It complimented the meat and toppings well. It sparked a small love in me for gyros that I didn’t know was there. Going back to these niche places is hard for me for whatever reason. I’ve been by this place a million times in the following years but never had I returned, either solo or with someone. Maybe someday I will get to experience it again and all the other places I’ve been that haven’t gotten a second visit.

My second time to eat there for Gyros. The 2nd one is worse... with burnt fries, barley cooked gyro meat and building was very cold. I can see a frozen slab of gyro in the machine but my meat did not come straight from the slab. I also got very little Grecian sauce on it, too.

Super Gyros was Super Good!

We came here for lunch today! Although the staff was friendly, service was quick etc... The food to me was not as delicious I thought it was going to be! I ordered a Italian Beef Sandwich, which came with au jus... It was super dry to me! Yuckk. Bland with no taste. Not seasoned at all. Also ordered their chili cheese fries. They were not good at all. The chili just wasnt great at all... I suggest just getting maybe cheese fries & adding your own chili from home to them. Just saying. I have had sooo many different places better than theirs. Fast food places haha. The portions were good though, but the good just wasn't! Very disappointed!!!! My husband ordered a cup of cheese sauce, it was cold! Gross. He did however liked the Simple Gyro but wished he could of had a pickle spear with it, as its suppose to! Just a thought! We don't think we will be coming back!!!! Lost our business. Very...

I was scared to eat here at first. Its really not very nice looking. The guy working was really nice, though, and the more I looked around, I noticed the surfaces were very clean. The floor was clean. Tables are clean. The back, where the food is cooked and all of the utensils were all very clean. I still worried. There isn't a great vibe here. The food was really good! We had a steak and cheese sandwich and a single gyro. I was disappointed that the lamb wasn't coming off a spit, but maybe it had been, and they carved it off and stored it? So, the gyro was good but not great. The tzatziki sauce was not as flavorful as I hoped. It was still good, just not even close the best I've had. (I think the name made me expect a GREAT gyro) The Philly though, that is something I will crave later on. Very good. I will be going back again. I will probably even get another...
