One of the WORST dining/gaming experiences of my life. Our family drove 2 hours to eat at the location in East Peoria, IL. When we first entered the establishment at around 4 pm, we were told that there would be a 15 minute wait which was fine with us. However, we asked if we could go ahead an order our food so that our 2 children could go ahead and eat and the cashier told us no, not until we were checked in for bowling. The cashier gave us our buzzer and we went and sat down. 30 minutes have now past. I had my fiancé go check to see how much longer the wait was and we were told 10 mins. 20 minutes goes by and we are still waiting. Finally I told my fiancé to forget the bowling because our children needed to eat because it was 5 pm, which then upset the children. He went to the cashier about to tell him we were going to bypass bowling and go eat, but finally they had a lane ready? We go to sit down and we notice that lane 1 had the table already full of their food, which lane 1 and lane 2 share a table. We notice that there are 5 lanes on the left side available, which #1 made us question why we had to wait an hour to bowl. We than asked if we could switch to lane 3 so that us and our children had room to eat and we were told no because of a "party" that was going to take up 4 lanes. We ended up making due with the room we had and started to bowl. You would think that with paying $50+ for bowling that you would be able to finish 1 game w/ 5 bowlers but no, our game stopped at the 7th frame. They than told us for another $17+ you could have another 30 mins and finish your game. $70 to basically play 1 game of bowling absolutely ridiculous! We decided to just end the game and continue to try and finish our food. Little did we know that they would just "sell" our lane before we were even done eating or even turn in our bowling shoes. We spent over $100.00 on food and didn't even get to finish/enjoy it! Why in the world would you assign the lane to someone else when there are clearly still people there and not even offer to them to move to another table so that they could enjoy the rest of their meal!!!!!!!! After we moved ourselves, we notice that this supposed "party" that was going to take up 4 lanes and made us wait an hour was still not there. That is when we learn that the "party" was to start at six. If we got there at 4 pm why in the world did they make us wait 1 hour when we would have clearly been done by 5!!!! Especially since they think it is ok to just kick people off lanes without showing any type of good customer service! To top it off, we tell the waitress who was wonderful to us the circumstances, and she has the General Manager come over to us. You would think that after the conversation we had with him and the amount of problems that we had he would try to make something right, but did he no.Trying to argue with a customer is not good customer service nor good management skills! We ended up with upset children, a bunch of excuses, a simple sorry and one horrible experience. And that "party" that was supposed to arrive at 6...never showed. I hope this establishment enjoyed our $175 trip because we will...
Read more10 dollars for a (1) taco. Waiter retook orders 3 times. 10-20 dollars is a joke. Walked by the kitchen, I saw people spinning pizza holders on their fingers, and a man dancing. Didn’t get refills, barely got food. They had a 20 minute head start for our party. If you are considering ordering at this place, buy Burger King and weep in your car. That would’ve been a better experience. How did they manage to serve cold food late I will always wonder. For all I know, they could be door dashing food from elsewhere. One person got their bill before their food, then didn’t get food. One member of the party randomly ended up paying for someone else’s bill. It’s like I’m on impractical jokers and Joe is in the kitchen rubbing his belly or something. I frequently asked where the cameras were. I could’ve licked some soup off of the dollar tree parking lot and had a better experience. The waiter would’ve been equally successful if there was a language barrier and I had to talk using my feet. They might as well have had a dog barking orders in the kitchen like it was Air Bud. Anyone who says anything good about this place is LYING. God bless everyone who gives this place their hard...
Read moreWe brought my son bowling on Monday evening. They weren't busy at all. We waited 10 mins for someone to help us get a lane. I went into Bass Pro and asked, what I thought was a manager, she was extremely rude and said the bartender will help me. The bartender/server was Erin and she was busy. I asked another employee who was obviously irritated by me asking for help, and said...we dont help the bowling alley, they are a separate business. I went back and asked Erin for help (the ONLY helpful person the whole evening). At this point a guy walks up and helps us. He gets us on a lane and we have so many issues with our lane. Erin to the rescue!! We were moved and still had issues. We paid over $50 for 3 people to bowl for an hour and spent almost 20 minutes of OUR PAID TIME waiting for the Lane to reset or for help. Again, Erin was so extremely helpful, while also taking care of eating customers. This seemed like a huge rip off. Awful customer service from Bass Pro employees. Yes the place is amazing and had awesome decor but the staff and help (that i had to go searching for)we received was awful. And a huge waste of money. Almost have of our paid time was...
