A server named Jaida was very loud and rude to an older woman that came in during my last visit. She ordered a simple bowl of chili to go. The customer noticed that Jaida had not put on gloves and was speaking very loudly with her face over the chili pot and star I no down into it, and she commented that what she was doing was not sanitary and asked that she put on gloves and not spread her germs into the chili. Jaida then proceeded to make a scene, yelling about how she wasn't doing those things (she was) and berating the customer by basically making fun of her to the entire restaurant. Her coworkers asked her to calm down, but she continued, then walked into the parking lot with a different customer and continued ranting. She's not in here now, but her coworkers are still reeling and trying to cope with the fact that they have to work with her for the rest of the day. Very bad experience, not acceptable for an employee to act this way. She needs to be fired immediately. Deplorable.
EDIT: after 15 minutes of being outside, she is now back behind the line carrying on and making more of a show about out it. Her coworkers have gently reminded her that customers are right to make a request like that and that she was very wrong for going ballistic on her like that. She is still trying to justify why her behavior was appropriate and why the customer was doing something absurd. The customer was not rude to her at all, and the rest of the people in the building were well aware of what was happening and sharing looks with each other. This interaction shows a lack of class and composure on Jaida's part. The other server was left to finish taking care of my service, as well. Read moreI got here at 2:10pm on 4-15-18. Before I got into the restaurant a guy coming out told me be ready to wait for a while. He had to wait 40 minutes for his food. A few seconds later a lady came out as well. I saw she only had a waffle, bacon and coffee. So I decided to ask her how long she had to wait unbelievably she said (30 minutes)! (30) minutes just to get a waffle, bacon and coffee. She then stated they do have more people working so hopefully it shouldn't take them long. So I decided to take my chances and order some food for me and my wife. So I walked up to the take out section. I knew what I wanted already and waitied for someone to take my order. After standing there for 5 minutes, no one acknowledge me. So I decided to say hello I do want to place a order. No one still acknowledge me and they continued their conversations with other employees and guest. A few minutes later a young lady walked in sat beside me and aksed if I ordered already. I told her no and have been waiting for 9 minutes now. At that moment someone finally decided to come take my order. Unbelievable that it took 10 minutes for them take a order. The waiter never gave her name, ask me if I had already ordered, even though she had already walked past me at least three times. I gave her my order sat down and started the waiting process. At 2:34 p.m. she said my food was ready told me my total. I double checked my food, because I had no faith that the order could be right, but thankfully it was. Read moreI’ve gone a few times with mixed results. Many times I’ve gone and the service is impeccable, the food is popping, and everything is perfection. Three instances in particular have put me off this location: First time: I stood at the register being ignored until the server remembered I hadn’t paid yet. She told me that I, “need to learn to speak up” as if I was in the wrong for patiently waiting for her instead of being rude about having to wait in the first place. I’m sure there would be a different attitude had I walked out without paying altogether. Another time, I come in and say good morning, the staff looks at me as if I’ve grown a second head. I sat down and waited for 6 minutes with no water, no server greeting me, nothing. I didn’t make a big deal about it, I just left. Thumbs Up is right around the corner and they’re much better at customer service. Third time: the service was decent, but they were passing money and package deliveries over my plate. No excuse me or anything. Just disrespect. That was my final straw with this place. I used to wait tables, so I try to be patient and accommodating and always tip generously. Perhaps the staff there have become so used to being mistreated by customers, they don’t understand when someone is showing them grace and patience.
