Love the new building. We got to sit upstairs with a decent view of the freeway. On the way up the railing was sticky and when I sat down my shoes felt like they were in oil or something under the table. Sat down and ordered a Chicken Florentine meal wrapped in pasta and the wife ordered the lasagna. I’ve had better and worse lasagna. Give it a 7 out of 10. The bread was very light and really almost tasteless without the oil to dip it in. But I did like it. The chicken meal was another story. It looked promising, smothered in that delicious cheese sauce. I’m not one to let texture bother me but this meal did. There was very little shredded chicken inside the pasta and a ton of the spinach. It had an almost chalky, pasty feel when chewing. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I can tell you there is a place called Biba’s in Hixson that serves a Chicken Florentine smothered in the same cheese sauce with pasta and thinly sliced chicken breasts topped with spinach and it is amazingly delicious. But there is way more chicken than spinach. Maybe that was part of the problem. Either way we didn’t hate the restaurant and would probably return one day. The service was good even though my Peroni went dry once.

**Posted my review and then decided to look through some others. Whoever is replying to the reviews how about a little class please? People are not going to like their visit sometimes. Yes it hurts because it’s your baby but your snarky replies make me not only want to rethink my review, but also never want to visit and tell all I know not to either. People are smart enough to know when someone is “overly bashing” a place. You point it out and then proceed to stoop to their level. Hell, you’re below their level on some of these replies. Be better. You know I’m making some sense. Your servers depend on your attitude. They are watching and they’re gonna mirror their manager. Look at what happened to Rib and Loin in Hixson. Manager attitude vs server attitude= restaurant leveled to the ground.

*response to owner. Excuses. What I mentioned didn’t make or break the visit, it just made it average which my rating reflects. Somebody else may not care at all or be grossed out by the railing and floor, that’s what rating experiences are for. Learning. I don’t “make” it seem like you don’t care about cleanliness, the sticky floor and rail do that. Your employees go up and down that staircase several times a shift, no one caught it? No one grabs the rail? Reviews are for praise and critique am I right? Like I said a little class please. Take the good and fix the bad. Another “downfall” of a restaurant is attitudes of the people inside too Lastly, there’s a difference between defending your restaurant and telling someone “don’t let the door hit you on the way out, you’re not a food critic, you don’t know anything so don’t comment. I’m looking at your other reviews so I don’t take you seriously, your name says it all.” Yeah. What happened to you? A few years back all your reviews were all answered professionally. You new management...

This was our 1st time here. Hands down, perfect. From the road, the building itself draws you in. It's simple yet elegant looking. There's plenty of room to park as well. As we walked in, we noticed a sign letting guests know they had 2 for 1 pizza. My husband being the 🍕 fanatic he is (originally he's from PA) he was overjoyed to know he could get 2 for 1 😅. Upon entering the building. Both of us were in awe of it. It reminded me of a place of the past yet with a modern twist. The chandelier hanging from the top of the 2nd floor is just simply, amazing. The floors, art, decor, and even the table layout just flows so beautifully. Sadly, I was in such awe I forgot to get photos but...we WILL be going back this weekend actually 😍 so I will def get pics then. We decided to sit on the 2nd floor where we could get a view from above. It wasn't too cloudy that day so that made it nice too. We ordered the 2 for 1 🍕. Pepperoni & Hawaiian. My husband ordered wings & I ordered the Ceasar salad. He's usually very picky about his wings too. He stated the wings were absolutely perfect. My 🥗 was very crisp & very fresh. The salad dressing was perfect. If you're looking for a perfect salad...this is the place. We very much enjoyed the 🍕. I can't eat a lot of sauce so I requested there be almost none on mine. It was perfect. My husband really liked his too but said he would have preferred the crust be cooked just a bit longer to give it that "crisp". He said next time he will ask of that could be done. The staff were very attentive. Made sure our drinks stayed topped off or brought new drinks out. The bread sticks were very good as well as the dipping oil. The staff were very prompt & helpful if we had questions. The bar is located upstairs and they do have an elevator. Which is awesome for those not always able to get to the 2nd floor due to disabilities or such. Maybe for those that may have one drink too much to be able to safely get back to the 1st floor 🤣. It's truly a beautiful restaurant, with very lovely people that do an amazing job to make you feel right at home. From the hostess to the waiter/waitress as well as the cook as the food is cooked as you ask. I'd highly recommend this restaurant and give it 10 ✨ if I could. Thank you Portofino's... we will be back this weekend! You have definitely gained us as regulars! We can't wait to try...

Maybe I went into this with the wrong set of eyeglasses on, but I was expecting a higher end restaurant for the prices I saw posted online. When we first got there, the layout of the restaurant was more of an "order at the counter" kind of place.

I always like to have a cocktail before being seated and the restaurant layout had a bar upstairs that I didn't even know about because no one offered to have us go up there while we waited for our table. The business mind of mine was very distracted with the missed revenue opportunity that this business lost. We would have ordered an appetizer in several drinks prior to being seated. And there were many other parties waiting at the same time that may have done the same.

We went there on a Tuesday night and we still had to wait about 30 minutes for a table even though we were quoted 15.

Our server was sweet, bless his little heart, but he couldn't speak a lick of English. He managed his way through and did a good job but again, my expectations were different.

Food took longer than I had hoped for because by now it's almost 8:00. Once it arrived it was hot and it was good and we were able to take some leftovers home for tomorrow.

When taking our leftovers home we had to package it ourselves and then go up to the counter and ask for a bag to put it all in. The young girl took our food boxes and then put them in the bag tipping all the food out so it was interesting trying to eat it the next day.

After dropping $117 for mediocre service and ok food, not so sure I'll be running back.

The chocolate cake we took with us home...

Tucked away in East Ridge, Tennessee, Portofino's Greek and Italian Restaurant invites diners on a delightful culinary journey through the Mediterranean. With its diverse menu, it's a great spot for those craving both Greek and Italian flavors. Upon entering Portofino's, you're welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere. The decor beautifully blends rustic Italian elements with Greek touches, creating a cozy space perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion. Soft lighting and comfortable seating enhance the dining experience. The staff at Portofino's are genuinely friendly and attentive, making sure every guest feels valued. Our server was not only prompt but also offered excellent recommendations that showcased the best of the menu. I started with the Greek Salad, which was fresh and vibrant, setting the stage for the main event: the Greek Island Combo. This dish featured eight succulent shrimp and sliced chicken breast sautéed with garlic and mushrooms in a creamy Alfredo butter sauce over penne pasta which was indulgent! To top it off, I enjoyed the Baklava for dessert, which was perfectly sweet and nutty, rounding out the meal beautifully. Portofino's Greek and Italian Restaurant in East Ridge is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to indulge in Mediterranean cuisine. With its delicious offerings and inviting atmosphere, it’s a place I highly recommend for a memorable dining experience. The Cajun!
