Uncle Tony’s Deli — Restaurant in East Rutherford

When you think of NJ you think of two things: a really good slice of pizza in the most random of places, and cold cuts sandwiches at a local deli in the heart of a blue collar town. A few days ago I woke up with the desire to have one of these sandwiches made by a local, and to my luck this little family run shop happened to have the exact vision I had for a cold cuts sandwich. Chris happened to be behind the counter on this day, and he had just made his home made habanero chile spread from chiles sourced from his backyard. I can't stress how this spread elevated the taste of the sandwich from great to GREATNESS. 10/10 would recommend this shop again and I can't wait until I go back for my next sandwich. I loved the experience of this place, it has a very home feel to it. You get a sense of love from this deli. On top of that the food is great, top notch meat from boars head, the staff willing to figure out how to help you even if something isn't on the menu (within reason) and they sure do it quick I came in here just to try it out now I'm likely to come here every morning seeing how I live around the corner from there I had no idea this place has been here but I feel more people should...

I came across Uncle Tony’s on my way to the NY Giants game. I stopped there to pick up a sandwich before getting to the stadium. This little gem of a place gave me a great, fresh, huge hero that I had to split with someone else because it was so big. The ingredients were top notch.
