You ever walk into a place and feel like they were talking about you right before you walk in and that you shouldn't be there? That was the vibe we got when visiting on the 8th of August. We were visiting for the night and wanted to try something specific to the area. This was right next to the hotel, so we decided to give it a go. It was hard to tell which door to use and the one we chose (because it had 2 trees in pots of each side), we walked into what looked like a potluck in the casino area. I felt weird but we made our way to the bar/saloon area. We sat at an empty table and waited for about 10minutes wondering if we were supposed to be waiting to be seated or it was an order at the counter place. Neither apparently. The bartender/hostess in the black dress with long blonde hair made her appearance and set down two menus before disappearing again for another 10-15min. We looked at the menu and had decided on some snacks and my partner wanted a beer but the waitress was nowhere to be found. She had stepped outside and threw some trash (I am assuming at someone she knew?) before telling us she'd be right back. She came back and asked about drinks. I said I was fine with water and we ordered the beer (he asked for a blue moon with orange juice). Took a while to get the beer before she dropped it off to go joke around with regulars, even splashing beer playfully and giggling with the men by the window. She seemed super friendly with regulars, which is nice but it took so long for her to come see us that we decided against ordering anything besides the beer, making a joke that if we ordered anything, we'd be stuck for another 2hours. When she finally came back to ask about food we said we were good and would stick with the one beer. And guess what? You got it...had to wait another 10 to 15 min for the check, we even started guessing how much it would be so we could just leave cash and finally get out when she came with it. We were thinking of playing pool but the two tables were occupied so we got pull tabs to play until the one beer was gone. Really hard to get her attention for those too. She has amazing customer service skills...for regulars. But honestly, it doesn't feel like a welcoming place and I was relieved to leave and go further into Wenatchee for food and drink. We would have spent hours there playing pool and having a few drinks if it wasn't for the odd reception. This is just our experience, and I suggest you make your own judgements, just take this into consideration as well. I wish this establishment luck, but I want to know why it took around an hour for one beer and one check, seeing as it wasn't busy and only started to pick up when we were finally free to leave. I'm trying my best to convey that I'm not mad,...
Read moreI've been in this valley almost all my life, so I have seen The Clearwater go through many changes, both owner and feature. They have a decent mix of, shall I say, activities - bar, restaurant, mini casino, live events.. I was last there Wednesday (11/27/19) night to see Danny Vernon, respected Elvis Presley impersonator. It was the first live show that I have seen there. First impression upon arriving was that despite buying advance tickets, we were dispelled to the back, into a subsection of the room with some definitely limited viewing areas. Basically, it is my opinion that they overselled the room. I understand the concept of making a profit, just not at the expense of your patrons. I was part of a group (10+) and it turned out to be pretty decent viewing, we just kept a perpetual shuffle going - watch for a song, shift right, watch for a song, shift right..you get the picture. 😜 The waitress's were great and we never felt out of the loop for drinks; maybe even a little more helpful because of our seating situation. Very decent pricing on Beer Buckets ($20). Great entertainment mixed with meager seating combined for an entertaining night (plus, don't even the worst seats seem better after a couple beers?). The waitress's at The Clearwater are some of the best, especially those who primarily serve only the casino section. Go there on a Friday night, sit down, play some cards, and you will have your orders handled by amazing wait staff. I like The Clearwater. Yes, the seating wasn't something to write home about at this particular event, however, I would hate for someone to avoid trying this place out based on that alone. Oh, one unexpected bonus of the "cheap" seats....Mr. Presley himself walked right through our group going back and forth to the stage. That's a plus in...
Read moremy experience was terrible at Clearwater bar. The bartender with bright pink hair was telling my group of friends “to hurry it up, I need to see IDs, I only have 5 minutes left” in a very snappy manner. She clearly had 20 minutes left before it was time to stop serving alcohol. We were not disturbing anybody and she was rushing us very rudely. Mind you, we were a group of Hispanics and when she walked over to the other group of 3 white people she was very nice to them and did not address anything about how much time she had left and was not rushing them the way she was rushing us. We walked in about 25-30 minutes before closing and all we wanted was a quick shot and we’d be in our way. It was very slow and there was only one other group of people in there. We all ordered the same shot to make it easy in her but she was just very rude to us and displayed a racist...
