I know it’s not totally fair to base a review off an experience at a separate restaurant. But the day before getting a spicy pork burrito here, I got three tacos at a Chipotle near my work. And honestly, they were serviceable, not great, maybe bordering into bad. They were messy, small, and soggy from the liquid the black beans were in before being put on my tacos. The next day we were working outside EL Charro and I talked myself into a burrito. I couldn’t eat it right away cause we were working but I put the order in and probably didn’t get to touch it until around an hour and a half or so later. The difference between a few minute old tacos and an hour and a half old burrito from El Charro was night and day. The Burrito was better in every respect, and still great on its own, without the Chipotle comparison. Its construction was tight, neat and not soggy despite sitting for as long as it did. It was packed with pork and was respectably spicy. My side of rice was cooked perfectly which helped that it was seemingly the same rice in the burrito. My only complaint is that they’re pretty minute away from where I live and that’s all. I got few friends who like Mexican food and I’ll be trying to talk them into going here as soon...

I checked out all the reviews before ordering and they were all really good -- placed delivery order through Grub Hub and not sure who's to blame, but the delivery was 30+ minutes late. I asked for guac, rice & beans on the side, but they came on top & in the same box. The chicken in the fajitas was not strips of chicken, but thick slices of chicken deli meat, did not seem like good quality meat at all. Spent $70+ for very subpar food, chips were the best part, even though none of the sauces were very salsa-like. Disappointed, was very excited to try this place but...

This place used to be awesome and when we found it last year. Since then the quality seems to have dipped. The previous few months we hadn’t went as much as it wasn’t as good, we figured we’d give it a try again tonight.
I ended up choking on the dry beef from my burrito and incident that is still bothering me as I write this 4 hours later. I did not end up finishing any of my meal, and after this experience I think we will look elsewhere for Mexican food. I included a photo of the burrito and you can see how far I got eating it.
