The Juice Pod Malvern — Restaurant in East Whiteland Township

I absolutely love their smoothies and usually go to a location close to my home. Since I was in the Malvern area, I decided to get one while there. I walked in at 2:20pm on a Sunday…no greeting from any of the 4 young girls working, just an immediate “we’re closed”. I said - I thought you close at 3pm? One worker said “ok that’s fine, but we’re only taking cash now machine is down”. Another woman walked in and again, the first thing said wasn’t even hello - it was just, “we’re closed!”. Even she questioned it saying- you don’t normally close until 3pm and I’m in here every week. I pay for my smoothie in cash, except the girl working the register didn’t know how much change to give without relying on the register which was down. SMH.

I was hoping the delicious smoothie would make up for the lack of customer service, but even that was a fail. I don’t know if they were trying to just get us out of there, or really just didn’t care but it was absolutely NOT the smoothie I ordered (I get it every time near my house so I know exactly what it tastes like). Literally just had such a great experience here. And although my 2 year old was melting down for no reason like 2 year olds like to do, the employees were so kind and helpful, they even helped me pack up the rest of our food to go and helped me out the door. The one employee was even sweet enough to come out and distract my son for a minute while i was getting all of my stuff ready to get out the door. There is a good amount of seating and even a cute little coloring section for kiddos. The nutter butter smoothie straight up tastes like a pb&j. The caprese toast on sourdough was beautiful and delicious- so filling too. The Asian chicken salad was big but clearly my eyes were bigger than my stomach today. Can’t wait to have it for dinner. I’ll never be coming here again. I’ve come to this location multiple times and each time has been incredibly disappointing. The food and service are so underwhelming that I will go out of my way to tell people NOT to go here. I’ve been forgotten about, my order has been lost, or it takes 25 minutes to make one smoothie.

I also come in and the staff say some items on the menu aren’t available because they’ve packed the ingredients away for the day when there’s still a half hour before they close? They start shutting everything down when several customers are still walking through the door. If half your menu isn’t available after 4:30, then close at 4:30. It seems like staff need some training on standards of professionalism.
