We are regular customers of bombay dhabba Norristown and were glad to have the same restaurant being opened in Malvern. We went in ordered worth $55. Kati rolls, Chole batura, paneer burji and naan (basic Indian dishes)
Wait Time For walkin orders seemed very high (especially when the restaurant is empty and food being made fresh is not a reason coz we had similar orders in Norristown location and they are much faster). We strolled to the nearby produce bazzar and visited the Kwality ice cream shop and finish eating giving the restaurant a solid 30min to prepare but still had to wait for another 10 min.
Food Kati rolls are our favorites from the Norristown location and Philly, in malvern location they were made out of Naan dough (thick and tasteless) and were terrible again when compared to the Norristown location. We ordered all 3 varieties they had in the menu and all ended up in the trash. The paneer likely felt to be the frozen cubes from the grocery store and uncooked. Not worth $21. ($7 each)
Chole batura was based on chunky onion and tomato based gravy. First of its kind. Again comparing to the Norristown location it was a disaster but atleast eatable. We could not make out the difference between the Butter Naan and the batura. To my experience they are very different. I felt that chole made by indian cart vendors could taste much better. Not worth $13 price tag
Butter Naan had literally no butter in them. Simple Naan was given.
Panner burji - tasteless and with carrots (awkward).
Eye sore - Tables were un attended and left without cleaning for atleast 40 mins. Counter cabinets broken and waiting to be fixed. 2 Ladies without masks and hand gloves in the kitchen. No sign of cleaning staff. An empty restaurant at prime time. All the above make me not want to give my business to this restaurant.
I hope the owner uses this feedback constructively and make decisions to provide quality and tasty food and better customer experience like...
Read moreMost of the food I tried was not what I was expecting based on how much the reviews hyped up the place. The ambience is below par and hospitality is not good.
Food: *Samosa chat (spicy & medium). We ordered two. One was spicy and the other was medium. There was no difference between the two dishes. đ Pani Puri: Mediocre Veg thali: Quite oily. Not worth it. Mango lassi: 5/5. The only dish I enjoyed here. Wait time: It was glaringly obvious that they were only attentive to past customers. After 10 mins after we ordered and were waiting, someone came in and ordered takeout. They left for 15 mins, came back and got their order before we did. We hadn't even been called for one entree at this point. Most of the negatives here are pointing to improper communication from the employees. It's not that hard to greet and speak to your customers.
Ambience: 2/5 *The tables were unclean. We had to get tissues and clean the area ourselves. I wouldn't have minded if not for the fact that the restaurant employees pretty much ignored us until we went up to them and asked about the food. You can makeup for a lot of negatives with hospitality which was not the case here. Unfortunately, my first visit to this restaurant might end up being the last. There was a smell inside throughout our dining experience which made it difficult to sit through the meal. The floors were dirty and had food spilt in places.
I'm pretty disappointed with my experience and hope they improve if I ever brave it enough for...
Read moreA small nice quick bite restaurent. Interiors and ambience is good. For Evening snacks you can stop by and do a chit chat along with their nice selections of chats. Space management was good and well respected COVID social distancing glass between each tables(đ). I quickly stop by to taste a couple of items in their menu. You have to order in the screen by yourself. I ordered chicken 65($9.99), chicken tikka Kati roll($7). Felt the price for the roll is not cheap or average but the portion did the justification. Once you pay , the receipt can be mailed , texted or printed. I believe I opted for text and I got text immediately. But I am not sure whether I will be getting my order immediately or their will be waiting time for how long ?. staffs were busy in the kitchen and did not instruct to wait or welcome us !!!. While I was there (Sunday 5 pm) ,four people were dining in and my order was Togo. So i thought to wait for sometime and then reach out to staffs if tested my patience. But kudos to team I got my order in 15 mins approx, since I did the walk in and felt I got the order in decent time. Lady who gave me the order was welcoming and friendly. We liked both their food. Will try again for different items. But will I come with bigger group here and answer would be no. Will i go here with 4 people max , answer is yes. Reduction of 1 star is due to unattended the customer for the whole time and only time staff interacted me to give...
