I experienced terrible service from the male manager as well as the female who picked up the phone today. We placed an online order with specific instructions pertaining to severe allergens, and even called before placing the order to insure there would be no issues with the order. After feeling confident in the order we just placed, we didn't bother looking at the food until we arrived at home 35 min later. Upon trying to enjoy our dinner and realizing there were said allergens in the food that were confirmed not to be there, we called the store back to ask for it to possibly be remade or refunded if we returned the food, as we cannot eat it because of food allergies. After speaking with a woman on the phone who could barely understand us because of a language barrier, we got to speak to the manager. The second he picked up the phone his tone was rude and condescending. He told us we were in the wrong for trying to order items that normally came with allergens present, but even when we call and get the "OK" beforehand and when we enter special instructions on the order description, it is apparently our fault for having allergies to the things we specifically asked to be not added. After spending 15 minutes on the phone being run around in circles, we ask if we can just have the order remade. Only to be threatened by a manger about coming back to the store. We were not able to have any sort of resolve as we are being declined a refund and threatened about coming back.
I am honestly shocked as we were nothing but nice on the phone and in person, only to be threatened and invalidated for having food allergies we cannot control. This is completely...
Read moreI will be discussing why I rate this El Limon a one star.
Looking at this picture I have shown is one of their tortas. They burned the bread, overdid the meat, had a strong char taste, and everything did not taste fresh. My wife and I agree they use leftover scraps of beef and go cheap with their line of food.
Coming from a background of owning and establishing a good repour for our own Mexican Restaurant has not been easy and we done it honestly. We have ordered more such as the Enchiladas (do not have chicken as an option), Loaded Nachos, and Horchata.
The Horchata right away was too sweet indicating the use of artificial cinnamon; Horchata is supposed to be made with pure cinnamon for a more natural taste. Left us with upset stomachs the same for the Enchiladas. Meat was overdone, thought they put Chiles in there, however it was quite the burnt crisps inside.
We have officially lost our appetites for a few days now and that is 46 dollars...
Read moreI live fairly locally, about 10 minutes away. El Limon in Frazer has always been a go to. Great quality food and friendly staff. Tonight was borderline inedible. Seen below. The “steak” looks almost rancid. Maybe it’s under new ownership, or maybe the general staff hasn’t been preparing food as it should be. After taking a few bites and pulling out that massive peace of gross looking meat. (Not to mention the sauce was quite brown compared to usual so didn’t want to touch it). I called asking for a manager and was told at 6:30 at night that there was no manager there. So clearly no supervision of any sort for the kitchen then? Whoever the girl was that answered the phone was very nice about the situation but was un clear if I would get a refund. . Needless to say will never return. Go to the Wayne location. At least the staff and management (since there isn’t even any at Frazer) there seem to be doing a far...
