I ordered a large pie with meatballs and garlic this Friday. This pizza brought me back to the good old days when pizza was unpretentious, with the right mix of sauce, cheese, oil, and crust. I ordered a thin crust, the garlic was fresh garlic, not from a jar. The sauce was pure, and meatballs delish. The crust is edible with the sauce and cheese backed right up to it. I will be back!

Went here and got a cheese pizza to assess their basic pizza quality compared to other local pizzerias. The pizza was quite satisfying, due to its nicely salted and appropriately greasy cheese. Crust had good texture, but could have presented more flavor. Service is quick, ambiance is comfortable albeit outdated. Overall would definitely recommend.

My family has been going to Sal’s for 55 years and it continues to be the BEST. Pretty easy to get to off of exit 8 on the turnpike. Worth the quick detour. Bring a pizza back to Maryland! $6 for a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni and sausage! Very affordable.

I usually don't review for pizza, but the food here is terrible. I'd hate for someone to go by these strangely good rates & be disappointed like my husband, 9yr old and I were. We were starving & in the area, so gave a try based on the good ratings. My hubby eats anything, same w/ our son but not this time. We Got broccoli poppers which were cooked well, just not much flavor so after 2 of the 15 is enough. Got garlic knots that looked good, but were chewy/rubber like, lacked flavor & the cup of sauce was gross. (Like Straight tomato paste & crushed tomato & no seasoning. sweet/tangy). I figured pie would be bad, But gave them the benefit of a doubt. 1 Sicilian pie hard chewy/rubbery crust ( yes was fresh I watched & 1 regular pie (super thin uncooked feel to it.)/both with 1/2 mushroom. Unfortunately It was so bad that after 2 slices from plain & 2 slices f5rom sicillian between the 3 of us, we decided to throw the other 11 slices in the garbage. I was so upset that I had to waste food like that, but it just wasn't edible. The place is a super tiny room & yes as another customer said, the guys don't wear masks or have it on the chin while making the pie or walking place to place never sanitizing hands. Seeing this from the window, i sent my hubby to grab the food. Not sure what all the hype is but better to keep...

My husband and I went to Cranbury New Jersey on June 14th 2019 for a little getaway. Before we left for our trip I did some research on restaurants and pizzerias and I saw a lot of reviews some positive some negative. So when we arrived the place was small and there were 3 people at the front counter. One was making the pizzas one taking orders and one cleaning. The spot was not dirty as some said in the reviews and I went there 3 days in a row. The were very courteous. I ordered the LG New York style pie with mushrooms and pepperoni with extra cheese, and a large cheese steak with mushrooms, green peppers, and onions. There subs are huge. Let's just say when I tasted it I laid back in my seat kicking like a little kid with candy. They both were so good. Here in Baltimore we have a spot called Mama Lucia's and I like their pizza, it's the best in Baltimore in my opinion but this spot in Jersey is number one in my book. The thin crust is just right, not too much sauce and it just taste good. Please check them out you will not be disappointed. Sorry for the long post but they deserve it. Also the last time I ordered we set in and ate a few slices of pizza and decided to take some home. Keep up the good...

Ok so pizza was not bad looking but FILTHY DIRTY. The 2 people behind counter looked like there shirts were never washed. I would have walked out but i was right there at the counter. I proceeded to eat the pizza and i look up and there was i guy in a filthy dirty kitchen chopping mushrooms like a in experienced kid with NO FOOD HANDELING EXPERIENCE AT ALL. NO GLOVES TOUCHING FOOD. Stay away unless you dont care about getting sick. I do not understand where is the board of health with these places. There is no way they could pass an inspection. For those who do not know there should be vissable signs of cleanliness. Not to mention basic food prep rules and cutting mushrooms with bare hands on a dirty counter is not the way you do it. For those who gave good reviews is because they 1 didnt look at the dirt or just didnt understand that a food establishment should not look like this and or there stomachs over rulled common sense. Its a shame but i wont eat there my hunger almost made me forget my...
