Jun 2025 review:

I had to post a new review after we used Dosa Grill to cater to a 200+ people event. We had experienced Dosa Grill catering at a previous similar event and felt we could trust them to do a good job for us. Our trust was not misplaced - they did an excellent job. The food was very tasty - not just the regular paneer or vegetables in a standard tomato gravy that we get at events - Dheeraj at Dosa Grill spent several sessions with us to help us get the menu to what we needed to make a difference. He then organized a day when we could taste all the food in small portions a week before the event and that was very helpful. We managed to make some last minute changes to the menu based on that tasting.

On the day of the event, all I had to do was to show the staff the location and the setup. They came perfectly on time, set everything up and ensured everything was available and visible through both the snack break and the dinner break.

A huge shoutout to both Dheeraj and Ayyapan for making our event a huge success.

2024 review:

That mall has seen other Indian eateries that have not done great, but Dosa Grill is clearly getting the recipe right. Dosa Grill is exceptional value for money. Good variety of dosas, good service. No wonder it is getting more...

FOUND ROACHES IN MY TO-GO ORDER.

Do not order from this place until they clean up and completely revamp the place with cleaner kitchen and staff. I ordered about 45 minutes ahead of time, I was told it will be ready in 15-20 minutes (which is great). When I arrived, I picked the order and handed my credit card for payment. While the waiter/manager processed my payment, just to check, I opened the bag (which was stapled with an order #). To my surprise I found a dead roach! I looked closer and saw there was another roach crawling up and out of the bag. My first reaction was of disgust, and immediately I asked the waiter/manager to take a look inside the bag. Without saying much, he reversed the charge and gave me a refund, he repeated "sorry sir" about 3 times.

Now that I think about it, i wish I had taken a picture to post here but in the moment, was too tired and hungry after work. My best guess is that they must have prepared the order and placed it in the bag, while it sat (probably in the kitchen) for about 20-25 mins (the extra time it took for me to arrive). Which gave enough time for roaches to enter the bag in their roach infested kitchen.

Beware, order with caution.

Btw, I actually do think the food here tasted very good the few times I had ordered before...

After visiting the Hindu Temple in Robbinsville it seemed to make a lot of sense to eat Indian food. A quick google search revealed Dosa just a few miles away. Easy access and plenty of parking in a shopping center. We were immediately shown to a table all set with tableware and water pitcher. A waiter appeared prepared and willing to answer questions and offer recommendations. It quickly became apparent that the offerings were all vegetarian. No worries we found items on the menu that would satisfy three of us. I’m not exactly sure what we ordered but it was delicious. My husband finished off what he ordered and my female friend and I shared a meal pictured below. We were both attracted to the chickpeas. Then we actually had a dessert. One dessert that might be described as an almond paste custard came with ice cream. Portions were huge. Price was reasonable. Service unhurried and excellent. Def worth a visit.

We came here for the weekly Dosa Night that the restaurant has. It ended up being pretty packed as the night went on - Dosa Night is very popular here, and I can see why. Lots of food for a set price, the dosa is crispy and thin but not burnt, and the sambar is delicious, as is the mango lassi. My family loved the appetizers/sides, and I adored my dosa. It's all for a great price, too. The decor is very nice, with the chairs appearing to be made from a pale wood and the tables being a deep mahogany-like color. The walls are white, and the lighting is neutral, with some paintings on the wall. It's very classy-looking, but still lends itself to a casual atmosphere, great for a wide range of occasions, from bringing family to friends or even a date. The food comes out quickly and we never felt rushed to get through our dinner, despite how busy the restaurant was. I couldn't ask for better.

Review for Dosa Grill - East Windsor Dosa Grill in East Windsor is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic South Indian flavors! Their dosas are perfectly crispy, the chutneys and sambar are full of flavor, and the overall quality of food is top-notch. One dish that absolutely stands out is their Chilli Parota—it’s simply amazing! The flavors are bold, the texture is just right, and the spice level is perfect for those who enjoy a bit of heat. It’s a must-try for anyone visiting. A big shoutout to Deeraj, the place manager, for his exceptional hospitality. He ensures that every guest has a great experience, making the service just as impressive as the food. Highly recommend Dosa Grill for an authentic and delicious South Indian meal!
