Casa del Cabo has now joined our list of favorites on this end of the Cape. Don't know what took us so long to try it out but glad we did to celebrate a recent milestone. They identify their cusine as "Pan-Latin". We went for their Happy Hour from 4:00 - 6:00 figuring if we liked those offerings we'd give an entree a try. Well, we did, and enjoyed it so much we stayed for dinner and returned the following night for an early dinner of appetizers. I am addicted to their chili spiced wings. Crispy skinned and flavorful. I made them my meal the second night. We also enjoyed the 2 bite pork taco appetizer on night one and the full size fried cod taco served on a warm and lightly charred tortilla offered as a happy hour special on night two. All very good! My husband and I shared the entree of Cioppino with polenta in a spicy tomato broth, served with grilled ciabatta. It was chock full of huge shrimp, mussels, calamari and cod fish. We ordered the optional addition of chorizo for $4. The broth was nicely flavored, not too spicy. The grilled ciabatta bread sopped up the broth and was so good that my husband ordered more. Surprising, since he usually passes on bread altogether. (It was so good that we placed an order the next evening to accompany our wings.) We finished the celebratory dinner with their Flan for dessert. It was smooth and not too sweet, garnished with fresh blueberries and strawberries. We are looking forward to returning soon to try out breakfast or brunch. We sat in their courtyard on 2 beautiful summer evenings. It's a secret hideaway that's tucked in a lovely landscaped area to the side of the restaurant. Traffic sounds from Rt.6 are hardly noticeable from this pleasant dining area. They also have a nice covered dining deck and inside looks modern, upscale and welcoming. The bar is the centerpiece in the main room. I'd choose to sit there on an evening when the weather isn't great for outdoor dining. A talented young woman performed on her accoustic guitar on the first evening, taking requests from guests. The volume was just right as our table was directly in front of her set up and we could still have comfortable conversation. The service both nights was excellent though it was busy in the garden with limited staff. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food runners delivered our food piping hot and fresh. The only thing I wish they had was a printed form of their nightly specials to ponder over. The wait staff had to recite to each table the long list of offerings, including the list of ingredients in the bartender's special cocktail. Their memories are great but ours wasn't so we had to ask for a repeat. Probably not the only ones who do. But I will say, they happily and patiently repeated the choices with a smile. See you soon Casa del Cabo. 8/29/24 Went for a quick appetizer meal. Wings were good, not as spicy as I remembered but came out fresh and hot. Shrimp cocktail is what it is. Shrimp are huge, served chilled on bed of ice. Service was good, as usual. The entertainment in the garden was Erin Wilson who plays accoustic guitar and sings a wide range of music from folk to country to pop and originals in her style, which is very enjoyable. Hidden gem…. hiding in plain sight! Such a nice addition to the Cape, Casa del Cano is full of surprises. All fabulous surprises. After a summer of challenging service at most restaurants, the staff here shines in their abundance of energy and genuine exuberance. And the food…. so expertly seasoned, prepared, cooked and presented. Frankly the menu descriptions are very understated. Each dish was infused with a burst of complementary flavors that went well beyond the ordinary, but yet stayed within an expertly balanced Latin American-inspired fusion that we typically only find in NYC or San Juan. I had the pork chops special that was well seasoned and nicely grilled on their wood grill, served over arroz con gandules. A touch of jalapeño gave it an exciting but not overbearing tang. My wife had the swordfish, perfectly grilled with an amazing chimichurri sauce. My daughter and fiancée had the pork tacos (puerco verde) with a delicious and fresh salsa with an interesting mix of textures from a cabbage -based slaw in the mix. The tres leches and flan desserts both passed muster with flying colors from my Puerto Rican wife, although the flan was advertised as a cheesecake flan but again surprised us in a good way as a traditional cheese flan with a fresh strawberry topping. An added bonus…. the chef agreed to serve a “tostone” appetizer as a side dish, and it was a wonderful surprise when it came actually as an anañita which is a very tasty Puerto Rican plantain dish. Overall, with so many wonderful surprises, we will definitely be back!

Honestly, I may have two starred this spot, but the Olla de Crema dessert was really good (maybe a little more olive oil than I would have liked, but quite delicious). The good - huge open space, lots of seating, seemed like two floors, nice outdoor space in the good weather. The bar was well stocked. Our server was very nice (more on this later) The bad - I've never eaten dinner so quickly in my life. We had a reservation for 730 on a Saturday night. We were legitimately done and out of the restaurant by 832. The pacing of the service was just incredibly fast, I can only imagine the food was essentially cooked and they were just refiring stuff to heat it up. We ordered our drinks and dinner at the same time. By the time our drinks arrived, we maybe got a sip in before dinner was in front of us. Now I ordered the chicken dish, which was decent, but they could not have cooked that as fast as they did. The french fries were good, but nothing was HOT it was all like lukewarm. Like I mentioned at the top the dessert was quite good. That being said, if I'm coming out for dinner on a Saturday night I want to enjoy the experience not be out of the restaurant in less than an hour. Maybe a better spot for lunch and during the season when they are busy and you're looking for a quick bite. That being said, certainly overpriced and under delivered for my taste.

On Friday, August 8, 2025, the seven members of our immediate family made a reservation to eat at a restaurant called Casa del Cabo in Eastham. The restaurant said we would be in the gazebo, which would have been awesome, because we had a child with special needs in his wheelchair seat and a 90-year-old who uses a walker. However, the space did not empty as expected.

When we got there, we were put near the bar in a very loud and confined space.

The excellent manager and her staff were able to move us to a wonderfully quiet and spacious table outside.

Our waiter was absolutely the most amazing waiter we have ever had! His name is Nico. With seven people ranging from a child of six to a grandparent of 90, it could have been chaos. But he was always there with exactly what was requested, And always with a smile! Nothing was too much for him!

Three of the adults at the table had been servers as young people and fully appreciated his efforts to refill the children's drinks, bring extra lime, have extra bread brought for the muscles, and simply make it a completely memorable evening! Then he brought two comped desserts for everyone to share. They were a big hit! Just about as things were winding down, after being at our outside table for over two hours, I asked for a cup of coffee with milk. It was already about 9 o'clock. I was stunned when he came back quickly with a cup of coffee that had just the right amount of milk in it, and it was piping hot! He was as perfect as that cup of coffee and the restaurant deserves praise for hiring him and for maintaining such an excellent service staff and phenomenal food! Two people had swordfish and I had the lobster and the kiddos had multiple things and we had hors d'oeuvres and everything was worth going back for and repeating. Congratulations and thanks to Casa del Capo and our hero Nico!

PS We ARE going back this week!

PPS we went back and everything was just as perfect! ..best muscles...

We have lived in Eastham for many years and have seen this building go through many different restaurants and this by far is the best! The atmosphere is beautiful! Very lively even on a Tuesday night! The outdoor eating area is lovely! No you're not on the water as you would normally gravitate to on the Cape, BUT what they have done with the space just enhances the food and cocktails! Taylor was our server and he was amazing! So knowledgeable about the cocktails and food and took time to find out what we liked and suggest items to us. We could tell he really enjoyed the food as well as the cocktails! He was prompt and efficient! Our family has connections to the restaurant industry and we know a great server when we see one! We started with margaritas which were excellent! Kudos to Bianca at the bar for making them! We've been to Cancun many times and have had our share of "sampling" and these were fresh and flavorful without being too sweet! We started with the tuna sashimi appetizer, the gazpacho (special) and a mixed green salad which was delicious as well! For dinner we had the chicken thighs (house specialty), a 1 1/2 lb grilled lobster, the cioppino over polenta, and a 1/2 roasted chicken (a special). All was delicious and had lots of flavor! The service was timely even though a bunch of people sat down at the same time! For dessert....OMG.....we shared a cheesecake flan and a chocolate dessert which was both made in house and so fabulous!! Anastasia is one of the owners and came by at the end of the night to inquire about our meal! I always love this gesture in restaurants! She was so gracious and lovely, we look forward to coming back and tasting other items...
