Basco Grill — Restaurant in Eastham

We visited on a Sunday for dinner in mid-June 2025.

There was plenty of parking in a lot outside. There were 2 other groups when we arrived. There were many groups who came in and had take out orders. We didn't have the time to place a takeout order before we arrived. It did feel like our food took quite a bit of time to make. I did enjoy their large selection of sodas. They had some really weird ones which was cool. The staff was also very nice and helpful with us making our selection and answering our questions.

We ordered: Brussel sprouts wrapped in bacon: Really good. Ensalada Salad with chicken: Needed more dressing only gave - one little container. Bosco Salad: Needed more dressing only gave one little container. Appetizer chicken tenders: needed more ranch, only gave 1 small container for 7 strips Bigger better burger: was big and good. 2 bowls of clam chowder: very good Chicken sandwich: I think used chicken breast and was very dry.

Overall for the price we paid (~$150) it probably was not worth it for us. I think there were better options for the price we paid. The value just wasn't there. But we were glad we tried it. It was close to where we were...

The Cape Cod Ruben was great, even better the next day (the sandwich was so large, I got to eat it twice!) The chocolate cake though... I love chocolate, I'm telling you I LOVE chocolate, but this was the first time in my life I had to throw something that was chocolate in the trash. It was dense and small, and the flavor was simply off-putting.

There seemed to be only two people working, one cooking and one taking orders, filling drink cups, AND handing everything out. I stood in line for 20 minutes for an order I placed online 45 minutes prior to then. The purpose of ordering online was to avoid being there for that long! I suggest two lines: one for ordering, and one for picking up. Another person was in the same boat ahead of me and cut everyone. That didn't feel right,...

Been 2 times now. Very good local spot, burgers were very good, especially the frenchie burger. Tried the cold lobster roll, very good. Had the potato skins and fried chicken second time we went (they were specials) really well done. Sides for the dishes are good. You can get fries and such but the slaw was really good and they had a pasta salad as the side of the day that was great. Also had the gateau Basque cake and the cheesecake du jour (which we had peach that day) both were good even by my roommates standards who work in a local pastry shop (they are tough to please!)
