First of all, lets get one thing clear. The only reason I am giving this dump one star is so that I can give any poor, clueless, innocent people a fair warning before going there. This place is GARBAGE.
Our trip began with glares from serves as we entered this establishment. This was followed by an over-the-top crabby waiter who slammed our drinks, silverware, and food onto the table. We were shown not even one drop of kindness, but instead sassy, annoyed remarks/comments and even judgement for how much food we ordered. At the end of the night, our waiter admitted to blatantly SCAMMING us, even saying "... you need to watch out for stuff like that when you go out to restaurants." She went as far as to manipulated something we had said, not even to her, and use it against us in a last-ditch effort to secure her extra money.
Before I get more into that, lets talk about the food. Well overpriced and trashy. My tasteless pancakes were so dry I had four glasses of water just to finish one. Our buffalo chicken tenders had been sitting there for so long before they were given to us the sauce has completely dried and crusted around the chicken tenders. Disgusting. It all tasted frozen and like it just came out of the microwave.
When we go to pay our bill, we notice something isn't right. It should have been around $35, but instead our bill read almost $50. We pulled up their menu on our phones to do the math ourselves and sure enough the math didn't add up. When we ask our waiter why the bill is so high, she immediately gets defensive and raises her voice a little. She charged us $26.85 for three pancakes. On the menu, a "short stack" is two pancakes and costs $7.95 and Chocolate Chip Pancakes (notice that it's plural) costs $8.95. I ordered three, assuming that that's what Chocolate Chip PancakeS was. Instead, she charged us $8.95 for each pancake. After quite a while of trying to ask questions about our bill while she was simply talking over us and, as mentioned previously, admitting to SCAMMING US, she snatches our bill out of my hands and goes to write up a new one. She takes off $6.85, claiming that that is plenty more then one pancake costs. Which, if that's true, she was STILL over charging us by A LOT. Even after she took off the $6.85 for 'well over one pancake', that was still $20 for two pancakes. And if what she said was true and $6.85 is way more then what one pancake costs, then why did two pancakes still equal over $20? Especially when a short stack, which is two pancakes -- the amount she was not telling us she was charging us--, is $7.95. None of it added up. Finally, we asked to see a printed receipt instead of a hand-written one. She barely obliged with our request. Once we received our printed receipt, the price dropped by almost $20. She was adding on her own tip, which was WELL over 20%, as well as trying to get extra by over charging us. This is simply unacceptable. We would have happily tipped the appropriate amount had her service included even a single smile or friendly remark, but it didn't.
All in all, our trip...
Read moreI've ordered several times from the diner. While not amazing food there convenient and it's edible. I have called in the past to say something is missing or not right. Just to let them know to listen better I've never comped a meal or taken anything back. I ordered this pay week. It was approximately 8pm and I was starving. Simple order and even had her repeat it. A simple grinder lettuce tomato and mayo LIGHTLY TOASTED. I only requested it that way because last time I asked for toasted it came black all around. Also a CHOPPED salad. Lettuce tomato and cucumber. I opened the salad first and there was nothing chopped at all. I seriously didn't want it. Whole thick round cucumbers tomatoes came in a separate container and it looked like a half a bed of whole lettuce. I called and got the girl who took my order. Grace was her name. She said they'd remake the salad. I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes to have a salad. Then I opened my freezing cold not toasted at all grinder. By then I was furious. I called back and got Grace again. I also ordered for two other people, so this was an $85.00 bill with an added 20% tip. Grace assured me very annoyed that they would NOT be remaking my meal or doing anything. I think I was in complete shock. I tried nicely to talk to her and she wasn't having it. Telling me she mixed my salad herself. I asked for a chopped salad. I'm assuming most salads come mixed. I would have gone right in but I had COVID. I normally order and pick up. Being someone who doesn't want to make anyone sick that wasn't an option. They've lost a good customer who ordered often and always just under a hundred bucks. I will NEVER order again. BEWARE. Something will always be missing, wrong or not cooked thoroughly. If I could rate a...
Read moreLove coming here, I come every 2 weeks. We usually get Debbie as our waitress and she already knows what we will order because we order the same breakfast every time. How ever, today we had a different waitress, I forgot her name, she had glasses. So she took our orders and my gf always get a chocolate chip pancake, when our orders came out, she forgot about the pancake, which happens so I reminded her about it, she said oh yes that's right. Puts the order in, mean while , she starts talking to these gentlemen about Verizon wifi for a good 10 minutes, then remembers about the pancake, she brings it out, it's not chocolate chip, by then we just said whatever, she just went back to the gentlemen to talk about wifi again. We finished eating and we got the bill, she was kind enough to take the pancake off the bill because we had to wait so long. My only question is. The bottom of the bill they now have a cash option or a credit card option. To pay, you pay cash you pay less then you would card, and before anyone responds, yes I know they get charged per swipe when I card is used...but should we get charged the fee, I've seen gas stations do this, but this has to be new here because that's a first I've...
