My wife an i love Scossa, being in the resturant business I can appreciate a greatly ran establishment such as this one. Which is why we come here and I chose this place for our 13th anniversary. Sadly I do not remember our servers name but he was a very attentitive and polite server, a credit to the profession . we ordered the Halibut and the Lobster ravioli which accidentally ended up on the floor. I mention this because of the speed and diligence they took cleaning and apologizing. I have to say it wouldve took a lot more than that to ruin my night with the beautiful woman I had with me. So in conclusion I would like to thank Scossa and especially my server and the staff who lent a hand when our server was sat a larger party he had to get started . Also the food was as usual very delightful. However one side note we had the fried calamari and I'm not sure that I noticed because I actually didn't read the menu description but the marinera they served with it was very spicy....good but spicy.
I have a correction and an apology to the chef. After going back to the online menu I noticed that it is listed the calamari does in fact come with an arrabiata sauce which is spicy.
Thanks again...
Read moreI’ve never left a bad review for a restaurant, but I guess there’s a first for everything. Growing up my stepfather owned an Italian restaurant and I understand how difficult the business can be but this experience was awful. Three of the four of us ordered the chicken parm (a good litmus test for any Italian restaurant) the chicken was so tough and freezer burnt it couldn’t be cut with the butter knife provided. We ate the small portion of pasta and left the chicken on the plate as I would never ask for a free meal or replacement. I did however assume the waitress would ask what was wrong so we could at minimum give some feedback… nope I was wrong - nothing - “boxes or check”. Still trying to give them the benefit of the doubt I asked the first person I could find to speak with a manager she politely said she would go find her. I waited for a few minutes only to have the same person come back and say “the manager said I can help you with whatever you need”. Clearly from management to the cooks no one cares about quality or service there right now.
The place has a great atmosphere and nice location for anyone traveling the Eastern Shore but someone needs to step in and care to...
Read moreReceived a call from my son in law wanting to know if we would join him and my daughter at this fine establishment for her birthday celebration and I'm glad we did. This was our first time dining at Scossa and we were not disappointed. The hour plus drive was well worth it. As soon as I walked in I was impressed by the decor and welcoming atmosphere. Low lighting and candles burning really set the mood for the evening. The drink menu was great with a large selection of wine, various beer and mixed drinks and cocktails. The menu could have offered more variety but everything we had was excellent. For appetizers we had the best chilled shrimp and octopus as well as fried calamari. Simply delicious!!!! Our main course was a mix of lobster risotto and veal Parmigiano, all excellent. Desert was a wonderful cheese cake. This restaurant offers most traditional Italian cuisine as well as salads, soup and deserts. It really was well worth the trip and made for a very enjoyable evening with the family. I would highly recommend this restaurant for quality Italian cuisine and...
