Weather Gage is one of the most distinctive spots in downtown Easton. It’s clear—this is no ordinary coffee shop. Every detail is intentional, from the delightful fresh flower arrangements to the carefully curated pastry displays. The interior draws from 19th-century nautical motifs, creating an atmosphere that feels both refined and immersive—I imagine it to be like the inside of a beautifully appointed captain’s quarters at sea. Polished brass accents and a gilt-framed naval battle painting anchor the space in its maritime theme, while an astrolabe-inspired chandelier overhead adds a striking focal point. Pickled oak paneling, marble flooring, and maritime-themed films all work in harmony to carry the motif through without ever feeling forced. The industry’s top pastry chefs—whose experience, skill, and artistry I truly admire—create a new menu each month that blends the classic with the unexpected. Every pastry and baked good is made fresh daily in Bluepoint Hospitality’s in-house boulangerie. While popular items often sell out, there’s always the chance to find your favorite again the next day. Whether you're stopping in for a La Colombe espresso drink or a cup of Mariage Frères tea, the quality and care in every cup and pastry are unmatched anywhere else on this side of the Chesapeake Bay. I find myself returning often for their perfect latte and their specialty croissants: raspberry-pistachio, almond, Earl Grey (with pastry cream inside), or the classic pain au chocolat—all consistently flaky, rich, and just sweet enough. The savory scones are another favorite. The location couldn’t be better—walkable, charming, and right on one of Easton’s most beautiful streets, with views of the courthouse and easy access to art galleries, gardens, shops, and—more importantly—my office! A few outdoor tables make it easy to linger over your coffee and soak in the setting. More often than not, you’ll spot a familiar face—whether they live around the corner or are visiting from farther afield. I admire the consistent friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Over the years, I’ve received great service from every team member I’ve met—many of whom grow into other roles within the Bluepoint family. I wouldn’t change a thing about this place. Weather Gage is one of those rare places that makes Easton feel special. It’s a gift to have this level of quality, artistry, and hospitality right here on the Shore. Thank you, Mr. Prager, for your vision and for bringing these beautiful spaces to life. A rising tide lifts all boats—and Weather Gage is certainly part of the high tide.

Stopped in for coffee while visiting Easton. Small place, great for takeout. There are a couple of small corners that would hold a max of 4 people or so if you plan to hang out. I had a Hazelnut Latte which was very expresso forward and less sweet. I happen to like my lattes that way so I was happy, but you may want to consider that if you prefer yours really sweet. I would certainly stop in again!

Their coffee was amazing. I had their iced rose latte and a pain au chocolate. The pain au chocolat was incredible! Buttery, flaky, and the chocolate was spot on. It tasted like I was back in France! I look forward to sampling other pastries they offer. Service was ok, but won’t deter from going back due to the fact the coffee and pastry were delicious.

The finest coffee this side of NYC! Not to mention the pastries! Absolutely the best this side of Cambridge. I say that because Cambridge has the downtown “Black Water Bakery”, a marvelous cafe’ and lunch place; while out on Rt. 50 , just east of Cambridge, you have the “Bay Country Shop”. So, I would suggest for you travelers to the beaches, to stop off, first, and enjoy the quaintness of downtown Easton (thank you, Mr.Prager) and enjoy your pastry and delicious coffee from “The Weather Gauge”; relaxing outside at their outdoor dining tables along the sidewalk of flowers and just sit back and enjoy the friendliness of the locals! Then, I dare you to stop and visit downtown Cambridge for some casual shopping and stop in at the “Black Water Bakery!” Then as you return to the joys of Rt.50, and heading for about 2 miles east, on the right hand side, please find the “Bay Country Bakery!” … to stick up with some additional goodies to take to the beach for the week! Take plenty from each of the 3 bakeries; have a taste test among your guests as they arrive at your domain! Let me know which of the bakeries won the contest. I guess you will have to decide for yourself which has the best coffee. I think I know the answer to that one!

This is your lucky day if you did not know about these lovely, and “deliciously classic” places, here on the Mid-Shore! I am sure you...

Two private chefs/estate managers moved to this beautiful little town which usually means build quality can vary widely. Coffee ☕ can be just like that and I will follow this review with an example. Weather Gage has great coffee, rich, full flavored. My wife and I have had a nice sampling of their drink and snack menu. Everything is good and consistently SO! = GET THE CINNAMON TWIST. 😊 Very nice, friendly staff. Great location of you are starting at The Tidewater in town. That's how we found them in the first place, was a lovely stroll from the hotel though this cool town to Weather Gage. Go 🟢 and enjoy! Example: Jack's coffee in the Hamptons. We worked East Hampton last summer, pretty much got the same thing everyday because there was so much variance in the coffee ☕ it was literally different every single day. So, these guys could teach them a thing or two. 🙏 I'll add...
