I love Bonheur. Love it so much. Love their staff members Madeline and Brooke. They both treat my kids like their own kids and always make us feel so happy.
The reason I can’t leave 5 stars (honestly, when Madeline and Brooke are there, the place deserves 6 stars!) is because the entrance and exit to the establishment are so dangerous. The color and size of the step make it extremely difficult to notice and navigate especially when you’re trying to also navigate your children.
I fell due to the poor visibility of the step, how slick the paint on the step made it, and severely sprained my ankle with a complete rupture of a tendon and will need surgical repair…. This was right after I had back surgery too, so I was trying to be careful with myself and was paying attention to what I was doing.
The entrances and exits need to be addressed. It is dangerous. I am shocked Mr. Prager has not addressed this and doesn’t seem to be interested in the safety of his customers. It’s obvious his attention to detail for the decor and menu are there! Why not customer safety? Please Mr. Prager, do better for us. This surgery is going to suck and I was fine until your poorly designed entrance knocked me on my behind :(
And shout out to Madeline and Brooke -they are the reason we come back even with the incredibly dangerous steps!
I don’t want anyone to pass on a visit because of my review, I simply want people to be careful knowing the steps are dangerous as they are and I hope Mr. Prager will take note.
*EDIT TO ADD: Mr. Prager took note and had beautiful handrails installed to help customers get in and out safely. So, I am changing my 3...
Read moreMediocre affogato with a weak brew that hardly tasted of coffee at all. Overly loud annoying pop music inside. Not a cohesive brand vibe. You don't need cheesy french music, but someone in the empire of Bluepoint must have good enough music taste to curate a vibe that isn't a 12 year old's dance party. Unless that's what you're going for- then well done! If that is the case it makes sense you don't know how to do coffee well. Would maybe come back just for ice cream. So far my experience with the Bluepoint empire over the years has all been just mediocre. Maybe scale back and focus on doing one or two things extremely well. Haven't tried Ward Room yet, perhaps that is the one thing you do extremely well.
EDIT: Actually let me be completely frank, because I think Bluepoint deserves it. The blue lighting in this shop is bad and intensified by the electronic menu screens. Somehow it feels dark inside despite the abundance of LED. Incredibly uninviting. Basic generic "french" decor. Did you send an intern to Target for this? There is way too much seating inside and I hope you ever have enough business to fill the tables. The display of ice cream was non-existent and the pies just looked alright. Unappetizing. TV monitors just scream delicious! Not. Who designed this place? Feels like you are expanding and buying real estate with little deep thought about the experiences you...
Read moreWe visited this afternoon (3/29/21). On our way to the ice cream place, our three year old daughter wrenched her elbow while playing and managed (we found out later) to dislocate it. We realized how hurt she really was while paying for our ice cream (because she usually never turns down ice cream)! The staff were SO kind. Ashlynn (I believe is her name) brought us ice for her elbow. When we had to leave without eating our ice cream, she packed it up with ice to take with us. She checked on our daughter and was so kind while my husband ran to get our car.
The place was sparking clean, the ice cream (which we ate later, it stayed cold!) was delicious... but the staff definitely shined above it all! Thank you Bonheur for making a traumatic experience for our daughter more bearable! She kept talking about the “nice ice cream people”! She enjoyed her ice cream very much when we got home...
