Not a great experience and not sure if I’d try to give it a shot again after this time. My wife and I were going to give this new location a shot for our first time since we had been in the area. The first hostess with glasses and light hair we spoke with to put our name in and our phone number for the “text you when your table is ready” system was nice. She told us the wait was going to be about 40mins, that wasn’t the problem. It was very busy, so we stepped outside and took a seat on the bench that was to the right as you walk out the doors that was situated in front of the patio. We were out there for some time and had notice it looked to be dying down. At this time we moved in to wait for our table. A couple parties were sat while we eating and I resized it had been about 40+ mins at this time. I politely went to the other hostess with dark at the front and just simply asked if I could check the time for our name and I gave her my name when asked. She proceed to be very short and rude with me saying “We already called your name and you didn’t come.” I informed her that I never received a txt, still very politely. She then snapped at me with “we called your name and came outside to check too. I’ll put you back on the list.” Here tone was beyond rude and her shortness with me was uncalled for. My wife and I were the only people outside, watching for the door frequently, and it was very quiet outside for us to hear them if they had indeed called our name. I’m not sure the first hostess input my phone right as I had my ringer on and was receiving txts from other people, so it wasn’t a cell service thing. Really shocked at how fast this hostess snapped at me for simply asking a question that was not my fault to begin with. I know it was a busy night, but I didn’t speak in a way that deserved to be spoken to like that. I she worked service industry jobs and would never speak to a customer that way. Good luck it go you go here. It’s sucks too because it looks like a really...
Read moreWhat a dreadful dinner experience I had tonight. I arrived around 5:30 pm with my family (husband, 1 year child, and 3 year old). We ordered two entrees, one soup, and a salad. I feel this is a typical order for a household with two young children. After receiving our salad and soup, our server, Charolette, informed us that we could not share our salad with our kids. If we wanted to share our salad, we'd need to place a separate order for our three-year-old. Excuse me, what? My three-year-old is not allowed to eat any of the salad that comes with the meal I am paying for!?
When did Olive Garden began having dining rules? I wasn’t asking for a refill or anything at this point, I had 1 bowl of salad that I had not even touched yet and My partner had 1 bowl of soup in which he hadn’t started either. We weren’t there to exploit their “never ending soup and salad” deal.
She went on to claim that she had asked her manager to confirm, and that is what she was told. Why would you ask your manager anything like that out of the blue? I haven't even begun eating my salad at this time.
This annoyed me for the remainder of our time at the restaurant. Charlotte never came back to see if we needed refills or anything else. The manager and buss boys had to help us w that.
But when I stepped away to take my daughter to the restroom, she had the nerve to step by the table and tell my husband that she felt that “I was offended after she told us that we are not permitted to share our meals, especially in these economy."
Thanks Charlotte for the outright discrimination against my family because I wanted to share a few bites of my salad with my toddler. I don’t know how that allows YOU determine what our...
Read moreWent on Christmas Eve, around 5-6 pm. Absolutely gorgeous, completely different design from all other olive gardens I've been to, was informed by a manager that the reason is Olive garden is launching a new design for upcoming restaurants, and they were the first one to include it, due to the new design, new outfits have been issued. Once we were seated we were introduced our waitress, I forgot her name by now, but she had black hair, and I think blue eyes. We ordered our drinks and appetizer immediately, drinks came out in 5 minutes, breadsticks came out in 7, calamari came out in 10, and the unlimited dipping sauce in 15, once the dipping sauce came out, we ordered our entrées, about 15 minutes later, the soups & salad come out, and 3 more minutes later, refills on drinks, breadsticks, and sauce, another 15 minutes go by, entrées arrive, when we're midway through the meal, the waitress says she's going on break, and that our new waitress would be a girl named Jenna, then Jenna went back away, 5 minutes later she came out with, refills, and once again 5 minutes later she comes back to ask about to-go boxes, we end up ordering dessert, but when we asked, she said, "to-go?" This happened twice, which was kind of annoying since there was still a person eating, and we stated that we were gonna stick around. All in done amazing meals, surprisingly better than the food from Ontario Mills. Service was actually pretty good for the occasion, but obviously the ending incident is what made me put 4 stars, I did still give her a normal tip, since they do deserve it for serving the meals, they are still new so hopefully it doesn't become a habit. And obviously the amazing designs make...
