Pastosa Ravioli — Restaurant in Eatontown

First time customer today. Certainly not my last!!!!! I googled a spot because I was in the area and Ba'am here we are. I called on the phone before hand just for a question and got a warm welcome and invite. Once you walk in you can feel the love from the locals. I go to place an order and turn to the woman ordering a ton of food and she tells me I have to try the shrimp. The guy behind the counter gladly gave me a sample taste. That had me right there. Shrimp to go please. So I ordered a sub (they call it a sandwich) and it was made exactly the way i ordered it. The young kid said we will make it however you want it. He was so darn nice I ordered a 2nd for my son. (His was cutlets) (mine was like a classic american) I also got a fee pieces of lasagna. Even the young ladies at the counter were amazingly nice. I really wanted to see if something went wrong but when I got home and started eating it was like explosive food in my mouth. 6 stars if I could because service means alot to me along with the food. UPDATE: returned to Pastosa today October 31st for a sandwich and it was just delicious!!! The sandwich was freshly made and the gentleman behind the counter was a very nice, personable guy. Ate outside on one of the tables on this beautiful day and then went back into the store for a few items for dinner tonight. The store was busy with shoppers, store is very clean, staff is very helpful….

FIRST REVIEW:

Went to Pastosa Ravioli in Eatontown for the first time last night. First thing I noticed was how nice and very helpful the staff was. There was a very kind gentleman, who I believe might be a manager, who saw I was looking intensely for something and he immediately helped me and even gave me extra bread for my meal…purchased the lobster ravioli which were some of the best I have had, filled with actual lobster meat and not the lobster mush you sometimes find. The chunks of meat were sweet and very flavorful…did purchase a couple dessert items which were very yummy too… must say their cheesecake selection looked very impressive…. Was a very nice store, clean and friendly…. will...

Went there once before, the kid who helped me knew nothing about the food... Everything was delicious the store is nice and clean is why I gave 2 stars... Today, after bragging to family that the place was so close to me, I told them I would stop and get some food for a meal (15 people)... I went in today, there was one other man, that was helped already and waiting for his stuff... There was almost 10 people behind the counter most were busy doing something, two older guys were in the corner eating and talking...I stood there for about 5 minutes and then started to walk around the counter thinking maybe one of the 10 people didn't see me... Then one of the guys brought the man that was waiting his stuff and I thought he would help me next, I tried to get his attention but, he quickly ran away... I literally stood there well over 10 minutes and not 1 person even greeted me, it was was like a joke, I was literally the only person standing there... I turned and put my little red wheelie basket away by the door and walked out, no one even noticed... Guess you don't need...
