Kobe's Japanese — Restaurant in Eau Claire

Their chicken teriyaki is always great but that's what I expect from any Japanese restaurant. Their portions have become smaller throughout the years while their prices have gone up. It's a lucky day if you find at least 3 decent sized broccoli pieces in that big pile of shredded green cabbage. Gone are the days when you see a variety of colors on your plate. I think for $7, they can offer us something better. If it weren't for the teriyaki sauce, everything including the cheap rice they use will just be "okay". I was severely disappointed with my whole experience. I asked the checkout person a question and she didn’t understand. I repeated my question. She ignored it, grabbed my card and swiped it. Then looked at the person behind me for their order like I was beyond her. When I got my food, I had one piece of broccoli, a huge bed of plain white rice and a very small, maybe 2oz portion of protein that was tiny bits and over fried pieces. No actual chunks of meat. To start off it is a good place! But there is many problems, I do enjoy the food however if you are vegetarian and order food from the vegetarian menu just double check. The vegetarian soba I ordered was really good overall but there were a few pieces of meat that were in my food that I had to take our. Some of the employees were nice but some were very pushy with ordering.
