We were in town for an educational event and one of the local participants recommended this establishment. We were both tired from a day of being outdoors and hoped we could get in and out quickly with a good burger, which my wife had a taste for.
When we arrived we were a little disappointed to see a large group of people waiting for seating, at 4:45pm. Although disappointed for a potential wait, we figured this was an indicator the food was good. We were surprised to learn our wait was only going to be "10-15 minutes." In fact, it was less than five minutes.
We were quickly approached by our server, Layna. A local college student who recently moved to the Eau Claire area. She was very pleasant with a great attitude. Even though 6 hours into a 13 hour day. She quickly took orders and quickly got us two cocktails. She was interested in what brought us in and our purpose for being in the area. And she did so as if she genuinely cared.
As we waited for our food, which didn't take very long to arrive, I observed the wait staff. They were almost all incredibly hard working. They were quick to serve guests with a smile and ask how there day went. They worked together as a well orchestrated team. Helping with bussing and cleaning tables, as well as serving. The manager was also pitching in and working hard with her staff. I was just amazed. You just don't see that often these days.
We quickly received our food, and Layna promptly checked on us more than once without being obtrusive. She refilled my water glass without asking.
Although the food was bar fare, it was very good and plentiful.
I was so impressed by my experience I was going to ask Layna if she could call the manager over to give her and her staff kudos for what we observed and experienced. Before I could do so, our young manager was standing our side asking if she could take our dinnerware. Again, a reflection of the quality of service.
I quickly told her what I observed and how impressed I was with Layna, the rest of the staff, and her. She too asked us about why we were in town and how we came to Milwaukee Burger Co.
Our visit was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Although we do not live near any Milwaukee Burger Co locations, I would thoroughly recommend it for a place to go, particularly the one...
Read moreMyself and friends went in today after watching our dear friend take her last walk in this life. We were seated outside, which we had asked for, but ended up inside after it started raining. Prior to us moving inside the service was very slow, our server did not seem very educated about the food or drink menu and getting water took forever. We had ordered our food prior to going inside around 2pm. After moving inside we were side eyed by the server for asking not to be sat by some individuals. Once at our table, we asked for a high chair, one was not provided. It took another 20 minutes to get our beverages AND people that came in half an hour after us received their food prior to us. When asked what had happened/was happening with our food we were told it would be 3 minutes, it was another 20 minutes after already waiting for an hour. The restaurant was not even busy, there were maybe three other tables, 2 of which that had been there prior to us. The service was awful, we were not checked on or told what was going on. When our meals did arrive half of them were stone cold. Everyone in our party that ordered chicken began feeling ill and the car ride home was chaos. The manager, did not provide her name, was pretty dismissive and literally snatched my debit card out of my hand. They gave us a number and said only call it if you end up at the hospital. The manager also said that she spoke to the cook and that he said he hasn’t had any other complaints so she didn’t know what to tell us. We chose to have lunch knowing we should have plenty of time to eat and return home an hour north, but they literally took over an hour with our food, another 1/2 hour arguing with us and then 20 more minutes making excuses with the cook. 4 out of the 7 people in our party ended up ill, one being a ten year little girl who is in bed sick. The treatment and dismissive attitudes were very disappointing. We will not be returning. If I could leave a no star review I...
Read moreWe dined in today 6-5-2024 after a really hard morning. We got there about 1:45ish ordered our food 2pm we were outside till it started to sprinkle so we moved inside. 3:20 we finally got our food. We asked why it took so long she said the ticket time was only 20 min. Food was horrible everyone who ordered chicken got really really sick. One being a 10 year old little girl. So on the food yes all the chicken was bad. I even took photos but its not letting me post. Anyways. Most of the food was. Old that would explain the hour wait. Waffle frys were burnt. We wouldnt of been upset about the food wait if the food came out great but not a thing came out good. All of it. Yes all of it was bad. Like how? How did that happen that you managed to mess up a whole table of food? And then be dismissive about it. Like noone ate it. Oh well we took 50% off. Well noone ate it. Are you jokeing me. All of us were parents and had to be home to get kids with a hour drive ahead of us. At 330 we were trying to leave we were not able to get out of there till after 4pm Noone ate there food. We boxed it and threw it. And still got charged $100 for not eating nothing. I have never been so disrespected in a restaurant. I would be embarrassed if this was my staff. My daughter that is the 10 year old is still sick in her room. The doc said it was food poisoning from the chicken. Well done milwaukee burger. 6 adults and 1 child not happy today. To top it all off No high chair for the baby that was with. Just a...
