Beautiful establishment! I ordered the acai bowl & the avocado toast.

I asked to taste the acai base and learned that it’s a blend. This is almost always a red flag. I asked if it was a smoothie and she assured me that it would be thick enough to eat with a spoon. She was nice to allow me to remove one of the items from the base (banana). The other items mixed in were strawberry and blueberry. When I got the bowl, the acai tasted like flavored ice from being thinned out, as I expected. The granola also was mixed into the base instead of sitting on the top as in a usual bowl. Thinning out the base with cheaper items can definitely be a smart business move, if customers are still satisfied. However, I would’ve rather not paid $17 which is on the upper end for an acai bowl. For reference, I live in LA where acai bars are abundant. It can range from $9-15, depending on the size, unless you add extra toppings (usually in excess of 4). The ones with cheaper prices are known to blend their base, giving a watery smoothie effect. I’m not sure of the amount of options for acai here nor the shipping cost, considering this is on an island. The price of $17 may be necessary. However, it’s not an indication of the quality you’re getting.

I love this place and all of the eager hard working employees behind the counter. They are all very friendly and pleasant. I lost my husband Dick Stanton last month, and I was and am going through a very difficult time. I wanted to go somewhere that I could start my own memories and trying to escape Some of the pain and memories of so many places-we’ve been on the island . The owners and workers couldn’t have been more wonderful. They Made me feel so relaxed and welcome. The food it the best ever. The Green smoothie is out of this world and I now make it my daily ritual. I come here for a little comfort where I feel like I belong. If I could give Cozy Corner more stars than 5 stars I would. The workers and the comforting shop itself, has brought me so much healing and love of community. This place is super cute!

The gentleman working at the cash register was very sweet, welcoming and friendly.

I ordered the steak quesadilla on special and my friend got the pork "burrito". The burrito was advertised as pulled pork, avocado, onions and tomatoes.

I wish places who used bagged avocado mush would advertise the correct product, you can't say the burrito comes with avocado and then when the burrito comes out it's half guacamole. It's very deceptive and that bagged avocado taste DISGUSTING, so the whole burrito went in the trash :(

Steak had some good flavor, but only about half of the "quesadilla" actually had meat in it, it was just a very thick layer of cheese that had not even been melted all the way.

My quesadilla was so soggy, I could barely even lift it out of the box.

I think we spent close to $50 here and then still had to go get food elsewhere after.
