Edit: Our return to Wicked Burger was a huge improvement. Warm welcome by the staff behind the counter. Place is still a bit bare inside, but its really a take out counter with a few tables anyways. Place was clean 👌 Our biggest concerns from our earlier visit have been addressed. Bacon burger lives up to the claim of having loads of bacon. Instead of wrapping the burger in a traditional foil wrap as last time, they have started using clam shell boxes...a much better practice. Prices have been slightly adjusted, but in the proper direction. Milkshakes were all excellent. Onion rings, which were gifted to us by the nice guy working there, were great and the portion was generous once again. The overall experience was much better. The only mildly negative feedback we have, would be that the patties could have been seasoned a bit more, but thats just personal preference. We would highly recommend them now, and hope they continue service in Edg for many years to come.
Original: Got blank stared at when I walked in to pick up my online order. Chalked it up to being because it's their first week. A woman was taking money shots of a perfectly prepared burger on one of the tables, obviously promo pics for social media/marketing, etc. Got my hopes up. I only wish my burger looked as good. The inside has a few small tables to eat at, but it's definitely set up for take out. Bland decor welcomes you. Maybe I'm a bit biased though, having just checked out the amazing renovation job they completed at the new La Strada in VH. First impressions of my burger just on looks...messy, greasy, smaller than expected, Five Guys-ish. It looks like your typical smash burger, double patty with loads of onion. I got the bacon burger, and it lived up to the hype of having "tons of bacon" at least. The onions were not "grilled" but flattop caramelized...looked like they had been pre cooked and reheated, which is fine. The texture of the patties seemed a bit crumbly almost. I know smash burgers are cooked to no pink, but I felt mine were over cooked. Overall the burger was average at best, and not worth the $21 price (no fries included). The sides we tried were fantastic though. Fries and onion rings both tasted great. Perhaps a bit over salted, but still some of the best I've had on the island. Although I was disappointed the burger didn't come with a side, you do get a generous portion for the $8/side price tag. I tried a $12 chocolate shake... Never again. Sure it tasted good, it's ice cream and milk...but not for $12. My only other issue was that my order was ready about 10min earlier than the pick up time i was given on my receipt. That would be great if I was waiting there on property, but I ordered online as they had suggested on their sm posts. So my food was sitting for nearly 10min before I picked up. I get that you're given a pickup window, but it was still disappointing. Perhaps that's why my burger looked the way it did. I'll know for next time. I always try new restaurants 3 times before passing final judgment, so I'll be back, but I'm not holding my breath. Too many places on the island do burgers better. I'm still getting used to the reality of the $20+ burger, but thats been the average price on-island for several years now. I wish...
Read moreI LOVE this place…..A new favorite in Edgartown. I have been coming to the Vineyard for 44 years. I worked as a cook at the Harborside many moons ago & MV Restaurants have consistently underwhelmed me. I am thrilled to say a had a TRULY great burger and onion rings from Wicked Burger. Great crusty smash burger with melted cheese on a flat-top toasted bun. Onion rings were equally good. I was truly blown away by this place’s food....
Read moreThis place is completely over rated and over priced. It seems like a blatant rip off of way back burger which btw is so much better than than this. I got 4 burgers fries and drinks and it cost me over 100.00. I think the island was better off without this garbage place and prices. I feel like like they raised the prices cause we are on an island. If this place was on the mainland with these prices they would be closing doors in...
