Fresh Catch Seafood and Take Out — Restaurant in Edgewater

We tried this restaurant today for dinner, we should have know better, because as soon as we got inside the whole place smelled like sous spoiled seafood was intense, the seafood is stored improperly there’s no signs of ice anywhere. The steamed oysters and crab were just sitting out in the open. We ordered two shrimp po boys, and the best part of the sandwich was the house sauce I asked for extra and they charged $5,35 for 4 little sauces. Insane. The sandwich comes with 6 shrimps on it. The lettuce and tomatoes were old and soggy. We got really bad food poisoning. Do not recommend eating nothing here, you will get sick. Seafood is old and not refrigerated....

My wife and I decided to patronize this establishment after viewing a Facebook Foodie Review. It was close to the house so we decided to on a whim to stop by and try it ourselves. The staff were very polite and personable and we received our food in about ten minutes. My wife and I both ordered fish sandwiches and chose Haddock over Flounder. The fish sandwiches were amazing! The size of the fish fillet was impressively large and it was fried and seasoned to perfection. And the sandwich was still smoking hot when we got home as it was just freshly fried. Bought a pound of what they claimed to be “fresh” flounder here. Took it right home (we live just down the street), went to cook it, opened the bag and the putrid smell immediately took over our entire home. My husband and I have been fishing and eating seafood our entire lives and never smelled anything like it. We had to throw it away. It made our entire house smell like rotten death for days.
