PHO 5UP ANNAPOLIS — Restaurant in Edgewater

I hate to make things about race but I had an unusual experience. Let’s start with the pho itself.. it was just okay… I’ve had better! I purchased the shrimp pho, that was a joke. There was only 5 medium sized shrimp which I thought was pointless. I can say the both was pretty decent and the peanut sauce that came with the rice paper rolls was good… the rolls themselves I could’ve made them at home with my eyes closed!! I came in to make a takeout order, paid and went to my car to wait. Wasn’t greeted with a friendly smile or anything just “what do you need”. I should’ve left after the lack of customer service, but I was craving pho. Once I came back to pick up my order that was already paid for a guy at the front repeatedly told me I did not pay and proceeded to get someone from the back to confirm I did not pay! They was pretty disrespectful.. I understand not just taking my word for it but a different person came in prior and was given their food with no issues! Once he realized he was in the wrong he didn’t even apologize but that’s ok because I was going to proceed to make a lengthy first time transparent review. I will not be back and I’m sure there are better pho restaurants...

First- it's inconsistent. Sometimes I don't even recognize what I ordered; I always get the same food. Second, they don't seem to know which jobs / tasks are whose responsibility. Things don't happen and then they go panic mode. It's really bad during a rush busy time. Third- MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT: ITS DIRTY. Boxes of paper products and supplies stacked everywhere, tables that have not been bussed, utensils in open containers on tables that do not get the appropriate DAILY washing; I have removed utensils and chop sticks from containers and had table scraps on them! They store table cleaning solution bucket next to condiments and to go containers. Fourth, the "Vietnamese" and "Thai" drinks are not, but they are priced as if they are, pass! The prices are reasonable, the food, eh. Last visit- I got sick about and hour after lunching there, coincidence- I think not. Lastly, it just looks like amateur vile. Signs leaning on stuff the disorganized storage the layout. It just screams- "we really are not professionals, we really don't care how this looks, there really isn't a person whose name, image, and reputation is on the line." It's relatively...

My family and I just moved to Maryland and well I wanted pho soup. Started searching for the closest place with good reviews. Today I sent my husband to get me some from this place since reviews seem good and pictures amazing. Well he ordered beef soup and when I opened bag it wasn’t cooked. I wish they could’ve said something like hey just so you know this order the beef comes raw. This was completely raw I wasn’t happy at all. Husband calls the restaurant and they tell him well that’s what you ordered. Like come on not everyone likes raw food and you can tell my husband wasn’t a regular at that restaurant. You could’ve said that comes with raw meat. Anyway I gave it a 3 star because I actually liked the to go bowls and everything else looked well. In all they ended up cooking the meat when my husband went back. But to be honest I won’t be ordering from this place again. They could’ve done a bit better with their customer service skills. I’ll keep searching for something better for now sticking to my Virginia’s...
