My recent experience with Squisitos Pizza has been nothing short of frustrating and deeply disappointing. Over 42 days ago, a $50 donation was promised to our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and we were informed it would be mailed a week ago. However, to this day, nothing has arrived, despite the claim that the donation was already deducted using our tax ID. This situation raises serious concerns about the integrity and reliability of Squisitos Pizza.
Even more troubling than the unfulfilled donation was the dismissive and condescending attitude displayed by a representative named Pam Douglas during our recent communication. When we reached out to discuss the matter, we mentioned the challenging circumstances our organization is facing, including a life-threatening diagnosis of stage 4 breast cancer for one volunteer and the loss of another just last week. Rather than offering understanding or compassion, Pam dismissed our concerns and chastised us in a tone that felt patronizing and unprofessional. This response was not only hurtful but entirely inappropriate given the context.
After we expressed our concerns professionally but firmly, we were met with a response that was cold, accusatory, and unreasonably defensive. Even after extending an apology for any unintended tone due to the stress of the previous week, the reply continued to reflect narcissistic gaslighting and an overall lack of professionalism. Such behavior is unacceptable in any context, let alone in dealings with a non-profit organization committed to supporting disabled seniors and veterans through meaningful projects like field trips and community initiatives.
Ironically, both our for-profit subsidiary and non-profit organization have successfully partnered with respected brands like Chick-fil-A and Domino’s in the past, always fostering respectful and mutually beneficial relationships. We approached Squisitos Pizza in good faith, expecting the same level of professionalism and community support. However, this experience has been a stark contrast, marked by arrogance over a simple donation that, to this day, remains undelivered.
This is not the first time we have approached Squisitos Pizza for support. Last year, we reached out for a company launch event for our film company, and this year’s request was for our non-profit. Both times, we were met with similar levels of disregard. It’s disheartening to see a company that promotes itself as community-focused fail to live up to its claims.
In our view, positive partnerships require mutual respect and clear communication, especially in charitable efforts. It’s deeply unfortunate that a simple donation request turned into such an unpleasant ordeal due to dismissiveness and a lack of empathy. We expected better from Squisitos Pizza, particularly when dedicated volunteers—some of whom are dealing with personal challenges like bereavement and cancer diagnoses—approach with sincerity and appreciation.
For anyone considering eating at or partnering with Squisitos Pizza, we urge you to consider this review carefully. A company’s values and commitment to the community are reflected not only in their products but in how they treat people.

It’s surprising that you didn’t take the time to research this situation thoroughly. There was no attempt to consult Pam or review the emails we exchanged, nor did you inquire about my conversation with her before expressing such misplaced outrage over a gift card for two pizzas. We approached this situation with humility, reaching out both by email and phone.
The donation was promised 42 days ago, and we have checked our mailbox daily. Someone either kept the gift card or did not send it. Our primary issue is that our tax ID was requested to write off a donation that we never received. This is not about the monetary value but the principle and the lack of integrity demonstrated by your employee. It was NEVER SENT, and your employee’s actions and attitude have further...
Read moreWhen we retired as Military to Annapolis a few years ago we sampled many of its good restaurants for our regular outings. For Italian pizza we found none better than the Squisito Pizza location on Riva road. It was far above most others in quality, quantity, pricing and service. However, as with many small food businesses in the area, they seem to be entering a down-trend track. This past Thursday 3 July 25 we stopped in for quick carry-out pizza order after a hard day's physical work. We were confronted not by the excellent staff members of manager and cooks from months earlier, but by two newer, rather unfriendly young gentlemen who were in no way the outstanding personality of out regular friendly contacts. After many, many very enjoyable sit-down and take out visits, we still had no choice but to immediately leave to find a new regular go-to Italian pizza restaurant. I am very sorry to have to stress to some restaurant owners that many seniors often value personalities of the service staff as highly as the meal. Don't let your great tried-and-proven friendly, listening people go, it can begin a damaging customer down-slide of cost greater than any small increase in operation. Respectfully, Thank you.
With much reservation we decided today 10/21/25 to return for lunch to Squisito's, our previous all-around best choice of pizza in Annapolis. As we had encountered considerable personality difficulities months earlier dealing with the counter employees, we were deciding whether to just order a take-out. When we entered, we were overjoyed in being greeted by the cook Nelson Diaz and Yasmin Torres who remembered us well from many visits earlier. We had been requested by Steve, an upper management individual, to speak with Marcel, the restaurant manager about ordering. However, as he was not in, we were more than supported with much knowledge and patients by Mr. Diaz and Ms. Torres. This facility is now returned to our number one Italian Cuisine in Annapolis for quality, quantity, pricing, and above all service. ...
Read moreOur recent visit to this restaurant was highly disappointing, particularly due to the abysmal customer service. Upon entering, we immediately inquired if the outside dining area was open, and an employee confirmed that it was. However, after we placed our order, that employee left, leaving us to fend for ourselves.
The service went downhill from there. A young blonde-haired waitress brought our food out, and before she walked away, I asked if they had grated cheese. Her response was shockingly rude; she turned around and curtly said, “It’s inside,” with a nasty attitude. This was one of the rudest interactions I’ve ever had in a restaurant.
My husband decided to speak with a manager inside. When he did, the waitress stared at him with a frown and insolently asked, “Well, are you gonna pay for another meal?” This level of disrespect was unacceptable. We decided to return our food and requested a refund.
The food itself was equally disappointing. The shrimp scampi looked unappetizing, almost like it was bathing in toilet water. The bruschetta was of such low quality that it seemed they used the cheapest ingredients possible.
We will never return to this establishment and strongly advise others to avoid wasting their time here. It seems that striving for excellent customer service is a thing of the past...
