I’ve been going to this restaurant since 2021. I’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, group events, and when visitors come I take them there. I don’t want to focus on the staff because they have been amazing over the years, but this is about the new owner. The service and food was not good, I had to send my food back twice (first time the waiter decided to dig his fingers in my food as he was carrying it, and the second time an orange peel was in my rice. The meat (steak and carnitas) on my street tacos were dry. I told my waitress and she didn’t fix it at all and when the owner stopped by she didn’t really asked our group anything, she just looked around and walked away. Imagine my surprise when I offered some constructive feedback (like I’ve done for now 3 plus years to the staff that knows me as a regular) and she accused me of putting an orange peel in my rice. She also stated I’ve never been there before and one of her staff members corrected her and told her that I in fact come to the restaurant a lot. She took my phone to show her kitchen and came back super embarrassed when the staff said it was her fault. I miss the old owners, I can tell the staff is not happy. This place has gone down thanks to this new owner, the prices are higher (4 street tacos are now 21.00$) and I no longer will be supporting this business. I would offer people should go somewhere else and avoid the new management. Eventually the staff (who already said they’re gonna leave) will move on…..so save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. This place isn’t the same. I know this is first world problems….but it’s also a warning that if you go you too will be...
Read moreWouldn't recommend going on Cinco de Mayo. Worst experience I've had in years. We had a reservation at 6:30 and arrived at 6:20 to be seated. They had a huge tent out front and crammed as many people inside the building and tent as possible. We waited 15 min to finally be seated, then we ordered food and drinks right away. They brought us on basket of chips in the beginning (that they were serving from a giant trash can out front) and then never brought us any more our entire wait. No one told us the kitchen was backed up 2 to 3 hours. We kept ordering drinks which they kept forgetting to bring half of them. 2 hours later still no food and people who were sat an hour after us were receiving their food, so we asked to please close our tab for the drinks and told them we were leaving with out the food. They tried to convince us to stay and insisted the food was ready (which it wasn't). When we calmly explained again we just wanted to pay for our drinks and leave because it had already been two hours, the manager responded with a snarky "maybe next time try making a reservation". Obviously we showed her the reservation we had made and she felt very dumb but pretended not to care. We got no apology or comped drinks. They clearly tried to run a party at three times their normal capacity using only their normal amount of staff. I have had good experiences twice before but the food is overpriced. I'd recommend El...
Read moreOverall excellent experience! We went for Saturday afternoon late lunch, had fantastic food and service. We sat at the bar. Not sure if it's different at a dinner table or not but we were not automatically given chips and salsa, but instead asked if we wanted it after our drinks order. Chips were warm and corn based, very good. Salsa was very average and onion heavy. Nothing notable. But some sauza helped spice it up. Margaritas were very good but nothing exceptional or different than most. At least not crazy heavy on ice. I had the grilled chicken burrito, it was very tasty and you can taste the grilled flavor very well. But the burrito has all chicken, rice, beans, no veggies that registered all inside the burrito. No sides. My wife's chicken enchiladas were amazing. She opted for the salsa verde and black beans. I was not given any option for black beans with the burrito. The black beans and rice were amazing. So much so that we ordered black beans and rice to go since we only ate half our meals and would miss having more sides.
Atmosphere is high end, they went above and beyond the typical new restaurant in town. You definitely won't feel like you're compromising at all showing up at this place for a date. We will definitely try more adventurous menu items later, so far what we've had was extremely good! Can't wait to have our...
