5 stars for a normal chain pizza 🍕 place? Yes, and not because it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had or something I’d rave about to friends. I think most people from here have had Pizza Hut once or two hundred times or so, and are fairly familiar with it. Sure they’ve added on a fairly extensive selection of sides and desserts, and come up with some variety in their pizza offerings, but they still have the same foundation of pizza they started with that got them popular in the first place. What this store does, in my recent experience this last year, is take that menu you’ll see at most other pizza huts, and offer quick, dependable, consistent, and friendly service. I mostly order carry-out, and they offer curbside pickup now due to covid, and every single time they brought my order out to me within minutes. My order has always been correct, it’s been freshly cooked, and the food is consistent every time. This store right now executes, and they do it well. No, you’re not going to find any fancy stone-baked pizza with arugula and white truffle shavings here. But I can order my childhood favorite pan pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple, get it quickly, and it’s the same pizza I loved and grew up with.
Now it’s not without its flaws. I’m sure they make mistakes, but I see someone from the store on here actively replying to people’s poor reviews, trying to make things right. I don’t know the outcomes, but at least they’re listening to the customers, which seems rare these days. The one thing I take issue with is Price. The pricing seems high to me. I’ve only been here in Edgewood for about 1.5 years now, so maybe the high prices are from the impacts of Covid, maybe not, I’m not sure. The one thing I doubt has anything to do with Covid is their $6 delivery fee, none of which goes back to the driver or any employees. That is a ridiculously high price for pizza delivery. Luckily I hardly use delivery.
tl;dr - Same old Pizza Hut, quick reliable service, Curbside Carry-out ➡️ great, delivery ➡️ expensive
Oh yeah, and you can order online, or through their app, and it’s easy and works now!
Ok go order your...
Read moreMoved here a couple months ago and have ordered from this pizza hut a couple times so far. I have ordered from other pizza huts and the pizza was so salty, but pizza from this location isn't bad. Though I walked in to pick up and about four employees, that were just chit chatting with each other, looked at me and didn't say anything. I was acknowledged and helped by an employee that was clearly busy preparing food items. (tall guy, curly black hair I believe, and had some facial hair I think. No nametags.)
Thought we would give this location another try.. Screen said ready at 6:45. Got here at 6:50, counter employee said a few more minutes. Employees yelling at each other that they need orders ready, and don't have room to put other orders. Our order was ready at 7:03. At least it was...
Read moreIf I could give this location zero stars, I would. The staff at this Pizza Hut (719 Meridian Ave E, Edgewood, WA) were not only rude but openly mocked my severe hearing disability. When I asked for their names to report the behavior, they refused. To make matters worse, the delivery driver didn’t even complete my order, dropped the food he did have, tried to “fix it,” and still attempted to hand it to me as if nothing happened.
This was insulting, unprofessional, and a complete violation of basic respect and food safety. As a disabled veteran, I will be reporting this discrimination to the ADA and my VA representative. Corporate needs to seriously reevaluate who they are hiring at...
