A diner that's been on the area for quite some time. We've been throughout the years, and my parent really enjoy it here! My most recent visit was to meet them there and spend time with them and to let them visit with the munchkin. The staff is very friendly and were super helpful in getting a highchair and moving my car seat to a back area to keep our area free of clutter.
I had the hash and eggs. I got the eggs scrambled with american cheese added in. It comes with a side of hash browns, grits, or potatoes, and also comes with either toast or a biscuit. Lots of food for very inexpensive prices. The hash was tasty and the eggs were made as ordered. I really like the biscuit and asked for a side of honey (which they have in single use containers if you want some).
The parking lot is smaller, but it's pretty easy to find a decent spot close by. I recommend you not park against the building front as it can be challenging to see to back out.
Overall: A A great local diner with good food and friendly staff. Very cheap prices! Check out the specials board for...
Read moreAs usual, every Friday, we try a new restaurant to review, and once again, we weren't disappointed. Once we arrived we took a seat and got tended to quick. Our server was very nice, attentive, and quick. From the time we got there to getting our food, it was only 16 minutes. Very fast service and the best thing is that it doesn't affect the quality of food. My husband's chicken fried steak was delicious, full of flavor, and overall, the best I've tried in a while. My simple southern breakfast was delicious. I was surprised I even loved the toast. Coffee is strong but not overwhelming. It's just perfect. We gave compliments about the food to our server and were informed that the chef is actually Ms. Sharon, owner of said restaurant. Will definitely return because of the excellent service and...
Read moreFood tasted better than I expected. The children's pancake was huge! I was expecting silver dollar size pancakes for a kid's menu. I'm used to eating at places (like Keke's) that have meals that include sides. For example: pancakes with a side of bacon and then you pay extra for additional sides. I didn't like how they charge you separately for every item. The food took longer than most places I have been for just an order of pancakes and French toast with a few sides. I would have liked the waitress to update us on the wait time after the first half hour. I wouldn't recommend taking large parties to this establishment. They were able to sit 9, but it was a tight fit and they only have 2 high chairs in the building. Don't expect a song for...
