Aguas Frescas Don Chuy — Restaurant in Edinburg

Yesterday we managed to stop by to have the same server who has been giving issues. 10 months ago, our water was given to us with the lid not fully on as soon as we got it, it popped open in the car spilling all over. Rather than getting us some napkins, she waited for the payment while the front seats were filled with the drink. 3 months ago, same server gets our order wrong even after going over it to us. Now yesterday, same server is putting up a sign and sees us pull up so she goes inside for the sample tray they usually give. A truck pulls up as she's inside, when she walks out, she is walking out way but then sees the truck and walks over to them instead with the samples. She then takes their orders and walks back in. Not only was it rude, whether she knew the people or not, you serve on first come, first serve. This wasn't the case and we left. For this reason and this servers consistency I can't recommend this location anymore. I've never had this issue with any other Don Chuy's, only this one specifically. Have loved everything about this place. Everything tastes really good. Love their aguas and their ice creams. But when I’ve order tostadas de ceviche, they give me de cámaron. It’s happened 3 times already. Unfortunately I don’t check until I get home. Fortunately I don’t mind too much, even if it’s not what I ordered. Now my biggest issue is that they always close early. It’s happened many times when I’m going and it says they’re still 30min away from closing time, and they will actually turn me away. If they are going to close early then they should change their hours posted online. This is the 10th St McAllen location. No complaints on the taste of their snacks even if it’s a little overpriced. Also no complaints on their service. The workers are nice...

I love this place, I tried the one in weslaco and mission and they are all great! Those that complain about the prices should just go somewhere else and stop being Karens!! Service is always great and my family enjoys it! I support small businesses and appreciate their hard work..one time there was 2 servers and several vehicles outside waiting and they were able to service each and every customer and not one customer was upset. Everyone was happy! Great service...
