Golden Chick — Restaurant in Edinburg

I let them know it was my first time and so I asked what’s on the menu and they offer the food that was already there and on top of that I ordered my food they offer the eight piece with one side I let them know I wanted 2 other sides which is the macaroni and potato and they did not charge me for it; it was close to closing they didn’t charge me for the 2 extra sides because they did not want to do the order. And I also asked for 2 extra white gravy’s and so I may think they gave me the side but they didn’t and the guys told me since you were waiting for a long time i threw in extra bread for your wait I was waiting for a while. Bad service. I will not go there no more and sadly the chicken came out under cooked as well. First and last time. Not my money worth. I will need to speak with headquarters to let them know about Charlie the manager he couldn’t do anything about it and was really rude when I called back the store you don’t need that type of people working for you it’s not golden chick fault but this is something that needs to be adjusted. You need people that will represent you like you should. There was a manager on duty and still could not do my order rite. If you are not capable of working in a Restaurant to serve the people rite and even before closing time you should not be working. People expect and Deserve to get a...

So I went to Golden Chick today on September 14th at 7:30 p.m. and I pulled up to the drive-thru and there's not anybody there but one car waiting at the window already. I politely asked the girl working there if I can have a little bit of time to look at the menu. And it wasn't even a minute that went by and she asked me oh if I wanted the number four combo. I hadn't even said a word to her yet and then she replied to me when I told her I didn't want that she said if I was ready to order rudely and impatiently. which really bums me out because their food is really good but that service today especially it being super slow was so bad. I didn't even end up getting any...

As a first time goer, I may or may not be back. I'm still deciding....

I tried the chicken sandwich combo with some mash. The taste was surprisingly good! A big piece of chicken, but the bread was a little cold. Big soda with the combo so that's a plus!

The lady at the counter was kind of rushing me, and I may have ordered something different if I had more time.

My high top table was cleanish, but the floor was kind of sticky. The restrooms were a little dirty. Plenty of parking. Easy going in, a little more difficult getting out.

Overall, not super impressed, but the food was decent for the price. Can't complain too much. Service was quick....
