I'm almost at sure in the past I saw that pizza guy that goes around and reviews all the pizza places and he stopped in this place. I know the area because I grew up close so when I was coming through the intersection, I decided to stop in for a slab. I wound up buying a slice of pepperoni, a slice of sausage, a slice of Sicilian, and a slice of white pizza. I also bought an order of knots (5) that of course came with the container of marinara. When I was driving home, the pizza was smelling so good that I had to pull out the slice of sausage and take a bite of it while I was driving. It was a little dangerous because it was hot so I took one bite and put it back in the box because it was red hot. That slice was so tasty that I couldn't wait for it to cool down so I could finish it. It was definitely not one of your typical bland slices that just tastes like cheese, sauce and bread and some sausage chunks on top. Of course I didn't eat all of the slices because that's a lot of pizza so I brought it home for my family. I got to taste all of the slices and I have to say, they were all fantastic. I will definitely be stopping by Joey Bundtz's next time I'm in the area. Thanks...
Read moreWe were driving by Joey's pretty late at night (9:15 pm) and saw that the lights were on. Everything in this area seems to close at 9 pm, so we called to ask if it was too late to dine in because being rushed out drives me crazy. The person who answered the phone, Chuck, said it wasn't too late to dine in, and they close when their customers are done eating. This was the best answer I could've heard...an old school answer. Everything was freshly prepared while we sat. The penne vodka was delicious, the shrimp francese was delicious, and the chicken francese was delicious. Even the chicken wings app was delicious. For a small unassuming place, the food was really wonderful. And, as a testament to the family friendliness of this place, without asking, Chuck put a kid's movie on their tv for our 8 tear old to watch. We'll definitely be going back. This place made us...
Read moreThis was our first time here ... Googled pizza places in the area and decided to try Joey Bundtz. I am so glad we did. Staff was very friendly and welcoming and gave us a free Bundt Cake for the ride home. As for the food .. Chicken Parm sandwich was very tasty and HUGE and the bread was soft yet good crunch from being baked. Sicilian pizza was very light / fluffy but good crunch on the exterior. After stuffing our faces for lunch ... on their menu it says "Home of the Fra Diavolo Pie" .. so I took a personal pie home to snack on later and it was excellent. Will definitely go back for the Fra Diavolo and the Chicken Parm... and to try some of their other...
