Sunshine Grill — Restaurant in Edison

I have lived in this area for a little over a year now. Though I'm surrounded by restaurants and fast-food places, sometimes you want something different. So I jumped on Google to see what was around me. There was Sunshine something that I saw and I found a bagel shop. I love bagels, though they don't love me back. So my thought was I'm going to the bagel shop. I set Google maps and started on my journey. I first came up on Sunshine Grill. It was small on the outside. I know they were open, so I detoured to them. I stepped inside to a nice little neighborhood grill.

I was greeted by Kim behind the counter with a smile asking me what can I get for you? I asked for a breakfast sandwich with french fries and a coffee, extra light and extra sweet. Now, we all know those of us who like their coffee that way. Your perception of light and sweet is not the same as everyone else. So I expected to make some modifications to my coffee when I got home. NOPE!! She nailed it. The breakfast sandwich was perfect! Eggs scrambled, bacon crispy roll butter toasted. Not all places understand what butter toasted means, he did. Suffice it to say, months later, I still haven't made it to the bagel shop. I have no need. Sunshine Grill is an amazing place.

That cooks spatula sings of heaven. Everything he cooks is solid gold. He leaves you wanting to try everything they make because it's that good. The ladies behind the counter compliment this establishment extremely well. I know this is very lengthy, but I feel like I struck gold. This is now my number one go to spot for anything, because everything there is good. Please, if you haven't tried them it is a must that you do. I have gone to this place since I was a kid and I will say their burgers are very very good. Always loved it and it was always a good experience. Today, some coworkers & I order for delivery. The delivery driver comes with the food however, the sauces were missing which is fine- accidents happen. We go to the car to let the driver know and he has 2 young girls in the car & their smoking cigarettes. Our food was in the car with them smoking? Anyway, we call to request the sauces and to let them know it is a little disgusting that they are smoking around our food and they said they would send a different driver and stated "is it the driver that was nasty looking or the food"... interesting. Looks more like this boy was hanging out than working. 20-25 minutes pass- no sauces. We have limited time to eat as we have designated lunch hours. We call again & the woman on the phone says he left less than 10 minutes before. 25 minutes pass- still no sauces. We call again and the woman was rude and argumentative saying "i know hes on his way". This place is down the street it does not take this long to bring sauces. HE DIDNT SHOW UP UNTIL AN HOUR LATER AND IT WAS THE SAME GUY! We ordered at 12:15, got our food at 1:15 and didnt get our sauces until 2:30. Our breaks are over so we are now currently working while eating cold food. All they offered was a discount the next time we call- as if we are ever going to order from them again. We are a business that frequently orders lunch from local businesses- you'd think these people would like to make us happy so we would return. NEVER...

VERY TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! They make them messing up your order THE CUSTOMER'S fault. All parts of the order were screwed up and I didn't appreciate the horrible attitude of the employees. Ordering online is a NIGHTMARE! Anyone who orders the Sunshine Platter online (even though you should never give your money to this place) make sure you specify that you actually want the coffee and how you like it even though no where on the website indicates that that's what you're supposed to do or else won't send you any coffee whatsoever or give you a refund for it. I ordered a 5.99 meal that was supposed to include 2 eggs, home fries, toast, and coffee. I literally didn't get half of the order. Never go here or order online. Customer service is horrendous, the food that I did receive wasn't fully cooked and not how I ordered it, and they don't deserve your money.
